Is Fried Chicken Racist?

Once again feathers are flying because someone (in this case a Spaniard) offered to serve fried chicken to a person of color. Now the offerer of the fried chicken is branded a racist.

Does eating fried chicken somehow diminish one's humanity? Is it somehow bad? If someone offered to serve me fried chicken I would be happy not angry because I love good fried chicken.

If a golfer of color had offered to make paella for Sergio, would that be equally racist? I think one can be an a-hole without being racist. Or if you are an a-hole to a person of color are you automatically racist?

Tiger, to his credit, has not joined this fray. Perhaps the media are the only people who care and fake offense?

It's the intent of the comment or crack that makes it racist. Sergio Garcia's comment regarding Tiger coming over to have fried chicken obviously has to do with the fact that he's part African-American.

Damn you all made me hungry for some home made fried chicken - seeing all that fried chicken - and dammit - I hate making it cause it takes so long Ranting But my Mammy taught me how, and I'm not black Harhar and she made some of the best fried chicken I've evah ate - so there - it ain't racist Nono2

Not true Weeping We always had home made fried chicken for Memorial Day Picnic, and all thru the summer time, and for picnics we went too, my Mammy would take fried chicken Ranting Oh, we did have watermelon too; cause with six kids, it was the cheapest way to feed them dessert yummy

No, but whenever I visited VA Beach I ate breakfast EVERY morning at Sambo's - and boy did they have really good food Eat

Not too many people can remember that far back, and say the ate there Coverlaugh
