It will ship 27 days after you buy it, but that is your "free" month!- FreedomPop has stated several times in the later part of the thread and on their blog that trials are being extended and "Plan period will start after the shipping date (not the purchase date)."

Is data rounded to the nearest megabyte?
Data usage is never estimated when calculating for pay as you go or plan data charges. FreedomPop calculates to the byte, breaks down data usage into 15 minute increments and only charges for actual data used. Data is however rounded on our website's user account pages for easier data monitoring and tracking purposes for our subscribers.
Why was I charged $0.99?
**UPDATE: This fee was discontinued on 6/13/13 according to their blog post .**
In order to keep our service free, we must offset costs charged to us by our wireless network carrier partners. It is a way for us to provide free data on a daily basis to all active users of our service, which averages over 500,000MBs daily. To prevent this nominal fee, all you need to do is log onto your device and use 5MBs within each billing cycle.

Is there a restocking fee?
Handling and restocking fees will apply and depend on the condition of the returned device. We are charged a fee by our logistics partner to test the device and ensure it is still in working order. This fee is deducted at cost per our T&Cs and is nominal.
Can I bring my own device (BYOD) and use your services?
In order to take advantage of our services, you do have to purchase a FreedomPop device. All devices come with a 30 day return policy and a 90 day warranty. After the initial 30 days, your "Sierra Wireless Overdrive" device is yours to keep.
What happens after my free promotional trial plan is over?
At the beginning of your new billing cycle, the payment method on file will be charged for a new month on this data plan. If you do not wish to continue on this data plan, the plan can be downgraded by contacting our help desk at http://bit.ly/contactfp
What happens when I exceed my data limit?
Depending on if you are on our Free 500MB plan, or any paid plan your account will have additional funds added to your account when you're within 100MBs of your plans total monthly capacity data limit. Once funds are added to your credit account, you will be charged on a Pay As You Go basis. You can opt out of automatic top up service at any time, though you may experience interruption of your Internet service if limited funds remain in your credit account.
If you want to cap your data plan at 500MB (in case you are on that plan), you can disable automatic top up through your Account page under Billing Settings. This forfeits you 100 mb though, your data for the month will be capped at 400MB ... Your service will be disabled as you approach your limit and when your cycle renews, you'll get a new 500MBs.
What happens to my remaining credit balance?
Any credit left in your account will stay in your account until it is used up; it doesn't expire and it will rollover to your next billing cycle
This is a 3G(Sprint cellular)/4G(WiMAX) device. Why do I only get 4G coverage?
The free data plan is only 4G (WiMAX). You can pay an additional $3.99/month to get 3G (Sprint) coverage but it is not mandatory.
