They do have the option, I think the SLI card is just not offered yet. Look under features, it does list the Ultrabay. Probably just have to order it in a month or two when the part becomes available.
Yeah I saw that too, but I was just wondering if that's just a carryover specs from the Y510p. Lenovo has been having a lot of typo with their descriptions lately.

ahhh....thinking about getting it with 1600x900 resolution. I was looking for the Sony S15 for a while but never was able to get it on sale.

I'm looking for an i7 that's fairly portable (14-15 inches) and with a good screen and good build quality. I did some searching for reviews on the y400 but haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone know how the screen is for color reproduction? (for photography)

I also saw in a youtube comment how the y400 sometimes had the same trackpad issues as the y500. Is this anything to worry about?

Don't buy a laptop like this for photo editing.

Not obvious enough sarcasm, since so many say that COMPLETELY seriously. Try again and do better this time.
I got that it was a joke. Things are less funny when ppl have to put *sarcasm* after every joke. Its like how crappy sit coms have to add laugh tracks at the end of every joke so the audience knows when they are suppose to laugh.

Are you saying this because it's overkill? Currently I'm looking for something like this minus the graphics card.

Nope, it is 30 days return policy. I was told just now that 30 days will be the standard from now, with no return shipping fees or restocking fees for any reason.

http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/shop...opping_faq

The website says this was through 5/31, but the rep just told me they are in the legal process of changing that verbiage and the 30-day policy will become permanent. Regardless, the orders placed last month for the Y500 are definitely 30 days.

What is Lenovo's return policy?
Purchase any product on Lenovo.com through 5/31/13 and get FREE UPS Standard Shipping, FREE returns and NO restocking fees. Simply contact Lenovo to acquire a return shipping label. We'll credit your account within 7-10 business days of receipt. Returns must be initiated within 30 days of invoice on order to be eligible.
Holy crap you are 100% correct! What sux is I'm leaving for vacation for a week on Sunday so I have just tomorrow to ship this off if I decide to do this. Probably won't give me enough time to get all my stuff off here, I have it loaded, plus put in the RMA and talk to them and ship. Hrm. Would it be worth all this trouble ya think? I'm not really most interested in the Haswell CPU but more the 900p screen, but I'm kinda thinking that I may then find some text too small, and probably have to lower graphics options in games which at this point I'm rarely having to do in any game.

I believe that is with the power adapter (not that it makes a difference).

Do you guys think it's worth the extra $120 for the 900p screen?

Most people on SD hate 1366x768 and avoid it like the plague. Personally, I don't care. I watch my movies on a 24" IPS anyway and I don't mind bigger text on a 14."

$120 seems steep for what I view as an incremental upgrade. I've noticed most upgrades to bump from 1366x768 to 1920x1080 are generally $150-200.

I'm sure some will disagree!

The screen can't be that great.

If I wanted to get a laptop for photo editing I would get one with a good screen.

One of my personal favorites is the DreamColor screen that HP uses on some of their professional laptops.

8 bit consumer class IPS or PLS panels should be fine though.

I'm quite sure this Lenovo uses a 6 bit + AFRC TN panel which is not really that good for photo editing.

On the tech page it states that it is .59-1.29 inches. So is there a model that is .59 inches or is that just how thick the thinnest part is to the thickest

Based on what I've seen in other notebooks and some I've owned, your latter guess is correct.

But I don't know that with 100% certainty with this notebook, but wouldn't be the least surprised.

Oh, I didn't mean he should put "/sarcasm" there, but... it wasn't quite a dumb enough comment to be easily seen as not being serious laugh out loud .
