Model 59369912 goes down to $689 pre-tax when going through the EPP store. You will get an error after adding it to your EPP cart and then trying to activate the coupon.

Unfortunately your order cannot be completed at this time. To assist you more quickly, please contact
us at Call 1-877-222-6426, Ext. [xxxx]. Please note Code INO and provide if requested.
At that point I called into the 877-222-6426 number and entered the extension (which changes every time) at the top of the page there. Sales manually entered the information and it went through at $689 + tax.

- Some are saying the screen is NOT anti-glare/matte, but glossy.

Oh, I didn't mean he should put "/sarcasm" there, but... it wasn't quite a dumb enough comment to be easily seen as not being serious laugh out loud .
Or just use this! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony_punctuation

Holy crap you are 100% correct! What sux is I'm leaving for vacation for a week on Sunday so I have just tomorrow to ship this off if I decide to do this. Probably won't give me enough time to get all my stuff off here, I have it loaded, plus put in the RMA and talk to them and ship. Hrm. Would it be worth all this trouble ya think? I'm not really most interested in the Haswell CPU but more the 900p screen, but I'm kinda thinking that I may then find some text too small, and probably have to lower graphics options in games which at this point I'm rarely having to do in any game.
I'm pretty sure you can call in to obtain an RMA by 30 days, and then take a few extra days (up to 10 I think) to drop it off at UPS.

The screen can't be that great.

If I wanted to get a laptop for photo editing I would get one with a good screen.

One of my personal favorites is the DreamColor screen that HP uses on some of their professional laptops.

8 bit consumer class IPS or PLS panels should be fine though.

I'm quite sure this Lenovo uses a 6 bit + AFRC TN panel which is not really that good for photo editing.
Thanks! I'm not in a hurry so hopefully I'll see something in the 700-1000 range here in the next month or so.

Not obvious enough sarcasm, since so many say that COMPLETELY seriously. Try again and do better this time.
It wasn't my joke or post, but try again and do better next time.

ya I'm a bit miffed, I jumped on the last Y400 deal posted last month, bought it on 5/9 so now it's too late to return to get the new Y410P Frown I really want that 900p screen on the 14" form factor, and supposedly it's matte this time. Oh well, you can't win them all.
just change the screen and buy another one for $80 and put it in your self

I'm looking for a solid laptop I can run Adobe programs smoothly on, that I can hook up to a monitor as needed. Can't source reviews on this laptop yet, but it looks to be quality, and just what. Thoughts guys?

What's so bad about 768? Mind posting a few pics of how things look on say, slickdeals' front page and other webpages?

What do you mean by quality?
On paper it looks nice and the price is good but I generally avoid consumer class machines.

It's not bad by any means, it's just that if that was an option to begin with I woulda went with the 900p screen. Here are some screenshots, hope they are good enough to get an idea. I think I'm not gonna bother really, I think I'd not like the text being any smaller than it is now, seems like too much hassle really for what it's worth.
