Frequently Asked Questions

How can I reach the spending limit?

There are numerous ways to reach the spending limit. You can buy Chase Gift Cards ($500 denominations, limit of $2,500 total every 30 days, no maintenance fees, cards expire but can be replaced). You can transfer money on Amazon Payments ($1,000 monthly limit, $10,00 yearly limit, requires transferring money to a person with their own bank account and home address, no fees). You can pay bills (even in advance with some companies). Possibilities are endless. Some chose to buy vanilla gift card from office supply stores. Though there are activation fees, the 5x reward points for office supplies more than covers the fees.

Buy 5 $200 cards at staples for $1,034.75
5x points = 5173.75 points earned
cost per point = 0.672 cents per point

But 2 $500 cards at CVS for $1,007.90
1x points = 1007.90 points earned
cost per point = 0.784 cents per point

So you are better off going to staples if you are just worried about getting the most points for your buck nod

There are several options to sell your points. Advertising services is not allowed on Slickdeals but there is a thread where users can share experiences with selling their points. There is some risk in taking this route, there is the possibility for account closure, lost points, ban from card company. Most have had no issues at all, but tread carefully.

I got the points by buying tons of stuff (something like $15,000 worth) over the last year with the card and then reselling it all on Amazon and Ebay for a $10,000 profit (on top of the $1300 points profit).
Thanks @psychojinx

Would you mind if I ask as to what you bought worth $15k that had such a profit potential?

I'm going to have to do the same thing this month. I will call them and see what they say. I have no use for the card and transferred the points to Freedom already.
