TIPS FOR USING THE LENOVO OUTLET WEBSITE

You can set the filters you want and just keep changing the "show 10/25/50/100/view all per page" selection to refresh the view. Another peculiar thing is that the different "per page" views will update differently, so at any given time you could see different items in one from the other until they've all updated. The refresh cycle seems to vary from around a minute or less to several minutes.

Refreshing the page will clear all of your filters, so you generally don't want to do that.

Also, you may not want to use Firefox. For some users, the views get all wonky with FF, and the sorting won't always work.

If you're having trouble registering via the outlet website, you can register on the main Lenovo.com site instead.

CSR knowledge and helpfulness varies.
Good, recommended CSRs to specifically request:

Quick fix for Wifi issue for U310, U410 who are getting full signal bars, but No Internet connection.

1. Wifi adapter settings > Properties > disabled all protocols/services/clients except TCP/IP v4 and Client for Microsoft Networks.
2. Wifi adapter settings > Configure > Advanced > Disabled 802.11n Mode (2nd option).

Hopefully it works.

nice deal, great price!
To actually answer your question...

The scratches and dents are generally REALLY minor, usually hard to see without paying close attention. These things are basically new, with a 1 year warranty, but much cheaper.

Thanks guys for convincing me out of it! I need it for school in Aug, so I am a bit stressed out cuz I am unsure if Lenovo outlet deals will "end" soon or not.

But I will not bite on this! Thanks guys!

anyone have any comments on the durability of these laptops?
I often throw my laptop in my book back and I ride a motorcycle to school so its not that I can't take care of it its that i need something that isn't a flimsy pos (comparing this to my current 6yr old laptop that is almost in pieces).
I am semi interested in the tablet/laptops but i am fine with a normal laptop.
This is just for school, I have a gaming laptop, self built pc, and a small server as my htpc.

it depends on laptop you buy.. G series, B series are a bit delicate... but Z series and V series are solid
