TIPS FOR USING THE LENOVO OUTLET WEBSITE

You can set the filters you want and just keep changing the "show 10/25/50/100/view all per page" selection to refresh the view. Another peculiar thing is that the different "per page" views will update differently, so at any given time you could see different items in one from the other until they've all updated. The refresh cycle seems to vary from around a minute or less to several minutes.

Refreshing the page will clear all of your filters, so you generally don't want to do that.

Also, you may not want to use Firefox. For some users, the views get all wonky with FF, and the sorting won't always work.

If you're having trouble registering via the outlet website, you can register on the main Lenovo.com site instead.

CSR knowledge and helpfulness varies.
Good, recommended CSRs to specifically request:

Quick fix for Wifi issue for U310, U410 who are getting full signal bars, but No Internet connection.

1. Wifi adapter settings > Properties > disabled all protocols/services/clients except TCP/IP v4 and Client for Microsoft Networks.
2. Wifi adapter settings > Configure > Advanced > Disabled 802.11n Mode (2nd option).

Hopefully it works.

it depends on laptop you buy.. G series, B series are a bit delicate... but Z series and V series are solid
thanks for the info, is that from experience? and also what are the V laptops? they don't have a "definition".
Is there something wrong with these laptops, other than refurb, because the z580 for 230$ seems like a killer deal.

I already bought a N580 that I am going to return for one of the Z580 i5s for $304. Only problem is I forgot my password and then when I click forgot password it says user name and then email. I don't remember filling out a user name and now I cant get in to order the one that is in my cart. Figured I'm going to get screwed out of this even though I've been trying in vain to get one for weeks now, and I'm not even greedy by settling for this price when I see others bragging about scoring one for $240 or whatever crazy price for an 8gbRAM 750gb HDD

yes it's from my experience. Well, there is nothing wrong in these laptops. most of the time you get good laptops. some times you get a defective one which you can return it but won't get a replacement.

I have a P500 (same as Z500) that I'm returning because I can't get it to work right. (I couldn't get it to perform faster than my old pentium4)
I like it in general though and might try another. This batch is i5 instead of the i7 that I had but they're $160 cheaper so I might just get it and swap HD for an SSD. Anyone know how hard it is to swap HD's in the P/Z500?
Backlit keyboard is a must for me and it's hard to find in these outlet deals.

This Lenovo outlet site is totally crap.
All my credit cards are rejected. Every time I try to pay I get "(Unable to authorize your transaction. Please select another payment method to complete your order.)".
I spoke few times with my credit card(s) Customer Service and there is no problem there, the address is fine, everything looks OK.
Also I spoke with Lenovo, they can't explain why all transactions are refused.
If anyone ordered one that want to return I will be more than happy to buy it.
Please pm me.

You need to talk to a manager in the credit department. Myself and others had this issue and for some odd reason, their system can flag your address information, and then associated cards to those addresses will be flagged and block. Could be their verification system with the address, or something else, I don't know, but it was a very frustrating experience trying to get it resolved with them. Just call the credit department, and have them clear any flags associated to your name, address and any credit cards that you have used. They say that it will take 2hrs or so before you can try again to use your card.

At least you are able to pay. Every single laptop says "this page can't be found" when I click add to cart.
