TIPS FOR USING THE LENOVO OUTLET WEBSITE

You can set the filters you want and just keep changing the "show 10/25/50/100/view all per page" selection to refresh the view. Another peculiar thing is that the different "per page" views will update differently, so at any given time you could see different items in one from the other until they've all updated. The refresh cycle seems to vary from around a minute or less to several minutes.

Refreshing the page will clear all of your filters, so you generally don't want to do that.

Also, you may not want to use Firefox. For some users, the views get all wonky with FF, and the sorting won't always work.

If you're having trouble registering via the outlet website, you can register on the main Lenovo.com site instead.

CSR knowledge and helpfulness varies.
Good, recommended CSRs to specifically request:

Quick fix for Wifi issue for U310, U410 who are getting full signal bars, but No Internet connection.

1. Wifi adapter settings > Properties > disabled all protocols/services/clients except TCP/IP v4 and Client for Microsoft Networks.
2. Wifi adapter settings > Configure > Advanced > Disabled 802.11n Mode (2nd option).

Hopefully it works.

At least you are able to pay. Every single laptop says "this page can't be found" when I click add to cart.
I had to switch browsers then that stopped.

You need to talk to a manager in the credit department. Myself and others had this issue and for some odd reason, their system can flag your address information, and then associated cards to those addresses will be flagged and block. Could be their verification system with the address, or something else, I don't know, but it was a very frustrating experience trying to get it resolved with them. Just call the credit department, and have them clear any flags associated to your name, address and any credit cards that you have used. They say that it will take 2hrs or so before you can try again to use your card.
did they flag your address? cuz i see the same error.. so my address has been flagged too? Frown

I am looking to buy an i3 laptop for my mother. Only thing is she won't like it if these laptops look old or used. Can anyone tell me how these things look and work?

I purchased a Lenovo laptop early last week and I am not real happy with the experience. Their website says estimated delivery date was today 6/18 but I haven't received tracking or shipping confirmation at all. I called and it hasn't even been shipped yet. She gave me very little information outside of that.

I guess if you get a super awesome deal on a laptop, a few extra days isn't a big deal. But when you buy one at normal price and expect it in a few days, only to be told it can be up to 15 days delayed... that makes me mad. Especially when I could have picked one up locally for a few dollars more.

I'm reading that Lenovo's support is about worthless. So good luck with the buys. Put it through the paces and make sure it works properly.

Yeah their customer service sucks. I have called twice (once regarding shipment, and second time for technical issue) and both times it seemed like I was talking to an idiot on their first day of work.

I also never received shipping notice and it didn't ship until 3 days after I ordered which I thought was ridiculous as it was an in stock item.

Yea I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that you are probably on your own when it comes to support and service. So if something makes it unusable, you are best off fixing it yourself or getting a refund asap.

I was going to return my N580 that I bought a few weeks ago for $260 + tax, as I just bought a Z580 today. As I was looking into how to return the N580, I see the N580 listed in the SAME CONFIGURATION as mine and it is $148. I decided to get one at that price. Anyone think that I could just keep the N580 I already have, and Lenovo would just refund the difference in price?

I doubt it. These seem to be priced per condition. They have tons of the same model in a wide variety of prices.

My company picked up a U410 i5 that was close to $500... but now I see them closer to $400. If it was me, I would be pissed and would at least attempt to call. I don't know what their return policy is either.

I'd say so - I've saved links to two machines w/same processor, I believe a G780 and another. One goes for 722 & the other 670, w/some sort of coupon Already in place.
*These first two have BD player n burner - My third option is some 17" 16x900 only DVD burner n i believe same cpu for $475 ...

I'm guessing i could use lapt to play BD and big 17" for school work (at home, i take 11" acer to school)

For the price & if you don't mind lack of BD and/or 17" at 1080, it's a great deal. As it's bit hard to get those specs for that price. the 1TB hdd can be swaped to an SSD, and simply use 1tb as external drive (w/adapter) or back up. I wonder how fast that QM is look around

They really need to update their website. It is awful. Even with these decent deals it's not worth it to me. I've tried to check out before and it just hangs.
