Would this work as sort of an extra refrigerator if I set it on low? Also, would it fit into the backseat of a Corolla?
Why wouldn't you just buy a dorm-sized refrigerator instead? Craiglist is loaded with them when college kids leave for the summer.

I bought the Magic Chef 3.5 size refrigerator from Home Depot yesterday; problem is, I also returned the 1.7 size one I bought from Lowes (because who needs it when I got the 3.5 sized one Stick Out Tongue.) I closed the credit card I used to buy it, so I didn't want them to credit my purchase back to a closed credit card. They wouldn't give me cash back, so I accepted "merchandise credit" instead. Just looking for a way to spend the credit (since Lowes has this also and I can price-match it.)

the discover program works like this:
1% on all purchases + 5% for shop discover + 5% for home improvement calendar quarterly bonus.

A little more actually...

Until June 30th, if you signed up for it, there is also a double cashback bonus promo on top of the home improvement promo and shopdiscover 5%. For shopdiscover purchases, taxes are not included, but for the double cashback and home improvement, I believe it's the total price you get the reward for.

So 2% of total purchase, an additional 5% for home improvement purchase and 5% shopdiscover cashback minus tax.

I've already received the confirmation on the shopdiscover bonus and expect about $26 back in savings dropping the cost of this freezer to around $153

When you throw in the extra free year of warranty from discover, I can't think of a better credit card to grab.

Fun Fact. JUNEHD expired yesterday. I just spoke to customer service and currently they do not have a replacement code.

NO. At the lowest setting, 1, whatever you put inside will be frozen. The number is for the "capacity", how much stuff you put inside the freezer. It's NOT for temperature setting. The freezer will reach 0 degrees even at the lowest setting.
