CPU benchmark score for the FX-6300 ($109) is the same as Intel's i5-3450 ($199) although in single threaded applications, the i5 is way better. The i5-3450 is however about 85% more expensive than the FX-6300 so this FX is at an attractive pricepoint. If I had to buy a processor for about $100, I would jump on it since it offers the best value (price to performance) at this price point.
"By virtue of its Black Edition status, the overclocking is relatively easy and gives you multiple ways - baseclock or multiplier - to get to the highest frequency you can. Being able to run happily at 5GHz is nothing to be sniffed at and has the makings of a top budget CPU"
If you intend to overclock, you may wish to get a motherboard with VRM heatsinks that supports overclocking
I heard that one shouldn't settle for anything other than a 970 chipset and the one you referenced not only doesn't have the 970 chipset but, after you factor shipping is only about $10 to $15 cheaper.
