If I were you I would start an amazon support chat session and ask them to match the price. They will most likely match it out of good will. I have never had them refuse to match it as long as I contacted them within 2 weeks of the original purchase date.

worst case you just wasted 10 minutes chatting with an amazon rep, on the other hand if they agree to credit the difference back you will have saved $10. So unless you make more than $60 an hour at your job I would say its well worth 10 minutes of your time.

I bought one. My wife has been complaining about mail and paperwork piling up while I have been out of the country and wanted a shredder, so now I guess I will be able to go home in a couple months and find out what important stuff got shredded by mistake. I would like something better than cross-cut, maybe something like the classified shredder here at work, but I definitely don't want to pay the price that something like that would require. So this will do I suppose.

I think Walmart is a better deal.

Would you be able to take the mail and paperwork into your office and shred it there? I've taken stuff into work to shred in the big ol' shredder we have here since my cross-cut one I bought at Staples stopped working after a year. I overstuffed it once and the blades got all bent up and pieces of paper started getting jammed in between them.

All of that paperwork is sitting on/in my desk a few thousand miles away. I would bring it in if it was readily available to me though.

Snagged one yesterday as my 6-yo Staples cheapo died. It was $37 with some pennies (no points used). Today, it's back to $50.
