Lol I was going to ask if anyone has used the cooper rs-3's before & care to review, but they're $260/ea for my car.. $100 off a set is less than half off 1 tire.. For that price range (~$1,000) I can get continental extreme contact dw, add a little more & get Michelin pilot sports or Bridgestone potenza s-04, or for $800 range get Hankook Ventus v12 evos at a friends shop..

First 500 eh? What a gimmick. They act as though these are popular tires and the stock won't last. Get them while you still can! What a sack of bull.

Thank you very much! I have been looking for a good coupon for tires for my vechicle for the past one week and have just bought a set of 4 tires with the code you gave! My total for 215/65/R16 with installation, taxes and fees, and Chrome valve stems came to $360. This was better than the lowest of $415 I have seen through last week. Thanks very much again and God bless!

So,

I would have gotten about $100 off for the tires I was looking at. That's a great deal. I also have $58 in sears points that I'd probably be able to use. 4 sets of really nice tires for under $300 installed with tax on a 2007 Honda Accord. I bought some crappy tires for a 1997 Civic that would have cost about the same.

I decided not to pull the trigger after reading all of the horror stories online. I also checked yelp reviews and just about every single sears auto center near me is a complete disaster. One guy related that he went in to replace two tires on the front of his car (they proceeded to replace the rear tires without consulting him) and all of the other people at the auto center were there to fix problems caused by the technicians in the first place (second visit at least). Looks like they don't honor warranties and don't do the right thing when they break a customer's car (they dropped a car off a lift and smashed it into a door and then wouldn't pay to fix everything lol).

The part that really got me was somebody said they went to Walmart and they did a better job / fixed the screw up that Sears caused.

Almost 500 reviews with over 80% 1-star reviews. This site is probably mainly for complaints though.

BIG thank you to the OP. I was able to buy tires form my daughter's car. $400 including taxes, disposal fees, stems, balancing, and the road hazard warranty. I made the purchase on Thursday and will be having the tires installed tomorrow.

yep. The one set of Coopers I bought will be my last. The tread lasted forever. However, the rubber compound was so bad, they got rock hard after only 20k and a coulple years that even a light misting of rain caused them to totally loose traction. And with them being rock hard, I think the tread would have lasted 20 years. If only that tread would have done any good. Replaced them with a set of Michelins and I don't think I will ever buy anything else. Now all 3 of our vehicles have Michelin shoes, including our Escape that came with them from the factory and are still going strong.

Unless you are planning on selling your car within a couple years, spend a little more and get better tires.
