What 9mm did you find? Link please
21-0831 WINCHESTER USA HANDGUN AMMUNITION 9MM LUGER 115 GR FMJ @ $16.99 each
In stock-Approx delivery Mon 7/15

Whenever there is a .22 deal limited to one box, I look for 9mm to buy at the same time to spread the shipping cost. In fact, in this case I didn't have to look, as there was a "people who bought this also bought" link at the bottom of the .22 page.

The 9mm is no longer listed as available on the page, just the .40

Cabela's has a hard time with managing there web pages and will show in stock on items you can't order, and will post new listings of items for sale they have previously backordered and haven't filled the orders for.

Just recently they listed some ammo for sale they had previously backordered (and is still backordered) however they showed it in stock, took orders, and shipped some orders and backordered other orders.

They are generally pretty good, but other times they are clueless.

That's how the cookie crumbles Big Grin

I'm sick and tired of going store to store and using the walmart app and not finding any ammo for my plinkers not to mention the over inflated prices plus the shippingEmbarrassment that you find online.
I even stored my guns away due to the ammo shortage and now Bought me a PCP rifle 25 calBig Grin Unlimited Pellets just like how it use to be on ammo with the real gunsFrown

But with this deal I can go plink againbounce

And I don't mean to rub it in But I was able to place an order for 4 more boxesBig Grin

The mobile Wal-Mart app gives a good indication of when they are getting to the store, but only one store near me actually puts it out from the truck. The other stores mysteriously sell out before it ever hits the shelves.

Last month has been absolutely no inventory at any local stores.
I have NEVER seen any of the closest 10 Walmarts to me ever indicate inventory on their app on any .22LR. And I check several times a day. They either aren't getting any, or my region just doesn't scan them into inventory.

You shouldn't hate the shooters that are buying ammo that they'll use in the near future. You should hate (1) the hoarders who have tens of thousands of rounds and keep buying more that they won't use in 10 years and moreso (2) the resellers that buy out inventory at places like Meijer that have no limit and don't raise prices, just to resell at gun shows for triple the price. And slightly less, (3) stores like Meijer that allow the reselling to happen by not raising their prices or at the very least limiting sales quantity.

Yeah I lived in Georgia, the amount of the "outdoor" stores is laughable compared to Houston (no offense) The amount of Academy stores is unbelievable. Plenty of Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mountain, dicks, Rei, etc., but it took me a while to find a stupid coleman white gas because apparently someone decided to use it for cooking meth.
You have to make the meth, to sell the meth, to support your gun habit! Stick Out Tongue

In the old days we would avoid paying the high cost for Coleman fuel or what was commonly called "white gas" by simply buying unleaded gas. Of course in these days and times, finding leaded gas is really hard.

I haven't used my Coleman stoves or lanterns in years, but I would guess you could safely use any unleaded gas, preferably without ethanol in it as that is nasty stuff that can harm things.

Where I lived, the local gas station had a pump that was identified as for "antique" vehicles, which basically meant any older car that was built before ethanol was added to gas. It was used by people with collector cars or any of a number of things like lawn mowers, etc. that were made to run on other than ethanol.

Yes... you should hate people who have enough foresight to buy ammo whenever great deals appeared knowing that they would never be able to buy it at the price again whether it took 2 days or 20 years to shoot through it. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) :vomit

Who could imagine a slickdeal'er ever stocking up on something, especially on a non-periashable... lol.

You have no idea what the present value of money is, do you? Ammo is NOT A GOOD FINANCIAL INVESTMENT. Prices will come back down, then rise much more slowly than traditional forms of investment. Buying ammo you won't use for years is WASTING MONEY. I'd recommend signing up for Econ 101 at your local community college.

Ammo prices will come back down, and probably end up below the pre-panic prices. That is because ammo manufacturers have ramped up production to the increased demand. Once hoarders stop buying more than they need, their production rate will be above the rate at which people are buying, and prices will have to drop so that they can sell the stuff. Again, Econ 101.

If you agree with me and are simply arguing that the average slickdealer is financially retarded (e.g. valuing their own time at $0/hour, not factoring in travel costs, etc.), well then you may certainly have a point. But I think you honestly believe it's financially wise to hoard ammo by buying at temporarily inflated prices (or even pre-panic prices). It's not.
