FILLABLE REBATE FORMS FOR:

AVG AntiVirus 2013 (1 PC) $20.00 Rebate

Symantec Norton Antivirus 2013 (3 PCs) $45.00 Rebate

Since it doesn't appear that you can register these rebates online I made these for myself and thought I would share with those of you who like to use fillable rebate forms.

Just download and click in each text field and start typing! nod
Good work.

What software did you use to make those fill-able?

Nitro PDF Professional.

I love it. It is a breeze to use, and the results are amazing.

I picked it up a couple of years ago online at Fry's I think (thanks to Slickdeals!). It was not quite FAR, but pretty cheap... like $10 AR or so. I have an older version 5.5 and was worried that it might not work on my new laptop that has Windows 8, but it works beautifully... thank goodness because I haven't seen it offered cheap since way back then and I am not about to pay the full or upgrade price. I keep my eyes peeled for it and have a SD alert set, but nothing comes close to the deal I got on it a while back. (I keep seeing that PDF converter program offered - by Nuance, I think - but the Nuance program is nothing like Nitro PDF Professional.)

I think it is up to version 8.5 now. And, I think the list price is $119.

I need an antivirus and dont have anything to upgrade for upgrade rebate. What would be the best choice to go with for a brand new expensive laptop? Should I go with one of these or wait for another offer? TIA
Microsoft Security Essentials. It's already free and has great support. AVG is also pretty damn good.

Everything you listed looks correct to me. Although, as always YMMV with enforcement of those stated limits by Parago. Some people have reported buying multiple copies of identical McAfee products and claiming rebates for each successfully in the same calendar year. Others have received the "did not pass audit process" message.

Nuance is only limited by Offer # to my knowledge and they use different processors depending on the retailer. If its TigerDirect, it goes thru 4MyRebate, if its Fry's or Newegg... it goes to that Great Bear Lake, MN address.

Nova Rebates are also only Limited by the Offer Code, although they are a super shady company so I wouldn't advise buying any FAR software from them. It usually takes multiple phone calls to receive payment.
Where do you see the 1-per-year limit for Panda? I just read the form again, and I'm completely missing it.

Thanks!

I think you're right... per the form, there is no 1 product per year restriction for Panda Products.

However, it is a Parago Rebate, so they might enforce the same AVG/McAfee rules.

"Limit one request per name/address/household/ company" - Pretty vague.

Request for what? This product or this promo #?

Won't work from PC as far as I could tell. You have to make sure and have the Google Wallet payment setup for the purchase or it will reject it.
I am probably the only person that does not have a cell phone. The code works from PC. Just need to use the different site posted and add the code. I just did it.

What do you mean by 'need to use the different site posted"? I have tried PC, iPhone and Andriod, didn't work Smilie

Well, one way to solve this.. ask the master!

Oh Great Guru, you who have caused me to finally spring for Inner Circle, shower us with thy wisdom!

Does this chart look correct? I'd love to see something like this make into the standard Wiki copypasta for all these software deals.
  • AVG - Limit 1 rebate per unique product/calendar year
  • Bitdefender - Limited only by promotion/offer number
  • ESET - ???
  • Kaspersky - Limited only by promotion/offer number
  • McAfee - Limit 1 rebate per unique product/calendar year
  • Norton - Limit $1,000 per calendar year.
  • Panda - Limit 1 rebate per unique product/calendar year
  • Total Defense - Limited only by promotion/offer number (must be activated to receive rebate)
  • Trend Micro - Limited only by promotion/offer number
  • Vipre - ???
  • Webroot - Limit 1 rebate per unique product/calendar year

I didn't list Nuance, Nova Development (Berlitz), LucasArts, or any of the other non-security software publishers, though of course they're an open question too, as regards rebate limits.
On Webroot I noticed the rebate forms say the product must be activated is this true or has anyone had any luck without activating them?

Son of a gun! Never noticed that. It's at the very bottom of the small-print boilerplate text.

Echo that, has anyone received their Webroot rebates without activating the software first? Is there an online activation (like Total Defense) so that we can at least activate without installing it?

so how is it helpful then? what can you do with your new updated 2013 engine without 12 month DAT subscription?

what will we send in for receipt? on their rebate form, it said "if you purchased this product online, your dated sales receipt is your confirmation email from your online purchase". but newegg's confirmation email is not really a receipt.
I replied to his comment that he was saying yeahh for version 4.1, i was just explaining that you don't have to buy a box that says 2013 to get the new version. If one bought at the right time with a 2012 box and say the 12 month subscription ends say at the end of the month, you are entitled to update the software itself, no need to buy a new box. In other words when you buy Norton, you are entitled to free DAT upgrades and software upgrades for 12 months, maybe that is what i should of came out and said.

I was not commenting anything that had to do with the rebate form or anything towards this specific deal.

Let me know how it works out. Mine did fine. Ohh afterwards, you can view your order and print receipts from the regular Newegg site.

BTW everyone says Norton is slow and bogs down the PC and AVG is better. According to Cnet, their reboot times are pretty fast compared to AVG so I am leaning towards installing Norton instead of the AVG when they arrive.

I think I am the only one actually using the software. Does everyone else just use it for the MM factor or do you sell them on ebay or CL?

I did a rebate the other day for one of the AV deals and I was going to type in the fields and noticed the instructions said "write" your information so I got paranoid and thought technically write and type or even print are not the same. Fine print to stick it to us or do I hang around too many lawyers? bounce
