Are there any guns in your home . . . . .YMMV, FAR

. . . . . said the doctor to my bride when she had two of my kids in for their wellness visits today. What does that have to do with anything? And the doc didn't let up. My bride kept telling her that she doesn't need to answer that question; so the doc asked it multiple times throughout the visit.

edit: apparently not required (unless your state requires), but they're not prohibited from asking, according to snopes [snopes.com].

Oh, and she also asked if my two year old had ever had a tantrum. Apparently the doctor had never met a 2 year old. Either that or she needed to write it down officially so he could be declared to have a mental health issue. . . .. at two.
The APA has already classified every human emotion as a mental health issue. Next step: outlaw guns in the homes where someone with a mental health issue lives. The result: anyone who goes to the doctor and admits to having any emotion loses their rights to a gun.

No wai would I answer that question, other than the above.
