So we actually need to active the prepaid sim card (free 10 minutes I think) to get a unlock from Tmobile a few days later?
Or have an existing T-Mo activated SIM card you can shove into the machine. What I've done for the one we bought...stuck an old Gold pre-pay into it, will turn it on every few days, and once a few months have gone by will call them on that phone and request the unlock.
(But then, I bought the phone to use, not to flip for a quick buck.)
I was looking for a cheap starter smartphone when I stumbled upon this thread. Checked the weekly ads from 9/1-9/7 on officedepot.com and found the T-Mobile ZTE V768 for 24.99 on page 13.
I then called Best Buy to PM and when the CSR put me on hold to check if my local OD has inventory, I thought for sure the PM would have failed since I'm pretty sure OD is all sold out since it's the last day of the sale. After holding a couple of minutes, the CSR approved the PM for a taxed total of 32.96. Thanks OP and Slickdeals
