I took pressure treated 2x4s to make a simple frame and slapped a treated piece of plywood on top. I used some crushed limestone underneath for proper drainage (small gravel or sand should work, too). Had mine for 5 years now and it works great for what I paid for it. Stuff stays dry in side.

One thing I notice is the plastic harbors a dark moldish looking substance. I've power-washed it a few times to remove it but it comes back by the end of the year. Power-washing it does discolor it a bit, but the sun has done enough of that anyhow. I haven't looked into washing it with any chemical/detergent but will prob try that when I spring clean the outside next year.
If it is honestly something biological like mold a 1 part bleach 9 part water mix should work pretty well and is cheap.

Or... you could build this in an afternoon for under $200 if you use a tin roof from Lowes... http://ana-white.com/2012/04/plan...orage-shed

Looks better than a plastic box in your yard.
Thanks for the link! Her site has lots of good (and detailed) info on how to build things for the home. Doesn't hurt that she's a definite looker too!

True dat! I actually built something similar to hold my BBQ/smoking/grilling supplies, although it's probably only about 2.5'x4'x5' (size limited by the left over scraps from building my "real" shed).

Of course I never got around to actually building doors for that thing - those would have required me to actually spend some money on the project! I keep all the charcoal, wood chunks and other materials in Rubbermaid-type plastic bins, and just cover it with a tarp. Works well enough, but your link will probably kick-start me to actually build the doors this year!

Then again, this $200 shed would probably work just as well. Then I could turn the old one into bike and toy storage for the kids....and not worry about doors!

Wil this fit a rav4? Looking for a cheaper solution than getting a garage built.

Possibly? I don't have one, but I hear you can "park them darn near anywhere...."

It's actually only 2' deep and 4.33' wide on the inside. Only good for gardening tools and push reel mowers.

These come with 4 metal clips that hang on the walls for putting stuff up.

If anyone doesn't need their clips, I would sure like them. Drop me a message.
Lowes sells them but the price is absurd.

thanks.

Really? You bumped a three-week-old thread of a long-dead deal to throw in a booyah! and quote a post from someone that likely no longer needs the answer and then don't even answer the question anyway? You, sir, are special.
