New tire got chipped on sidewall. Should I replace?

So my GF got all 4 tires installed last month.Due to 1 hr of sleep and all day at Disneyland, she ran the curb while getting into a parking. The curb chipped a quarter size of rubber out of the sidewall. A tiny bit of tire thread (2mm diameter) is showing. Should we replace the tire? She does about 50 miles of freeway driving a week. Casual driving, not spirited.

Edit: I don't know if she got any road hazard coverage with the tires or not but you may get it replaced with little pro-rating if its covered. Just don't say she ran over a curb. You don't know how this happened.
There is an alternative that would make it a lot more secure, although I can't say if it would be 100%, and that's to install an inner tube.
I've done the same myself, peeved that the tire was almost new and it got bubbled, like the size of half a golf ball, so I felt confident enough with the tube to feel safe, and I do drive a bit fast, but I hesitate to tell anyone that it's a sure thing.
Perhaps I'm not as wise and cautious as most.
A catastrophic tire failure at freeway speeds is not fun!
That tire is no longer stable.
There is nothing to think about. Replace it.
