HSN is offering an Android on Tracfone, the first of its kind. Phone is triple minutes for life and includes a lot of goodies:

1. $25 Google Play Card
2. 600 Minutes, 600 Text and 600 MB of Data
3. Car Charger
4. Choice of Back Cover

This phone is unique as it offers three different tanks of minutes; your minutes, texts and data are no longer shared. Great value! Nice to see Tracfone add an Android handset to their lineup!

Thanks for the reply SCscoutguy.

I activated my new Galaxy this afternoon by transferring my existing Tracfone phone number and minutes to the new Galaxy. I did this via the Tracfone website. I had a service end date of 11/20/14 and 1845 minutes on that phone.

In transferring on the website, I entered all the correct serial numbers, and the "Paramater 30, and parameter 0" values from my old Tracfone.

As soon as I entered the final parameter 0 value, the website went ahead and processed the transfer. Unlike previous Tracfone web transfers I have made, this time I was not shown the amount of minutes that would transfer and then given a choice to accept and continue the transfer, or cancel and abort the transfer.

When the process was complete the Tracfone website said I had a service end date of 11/20/14 and 1100 minutes plus 1100 texts, and 1100 mb of data. I had gotten shortchanged of 745 minutes.

So tomorrow I will have to call ERD and try to get my lost minutes, text and data put on this phone.

I have not yet added the HSN pin number for the 600 minutes and 90 days of service.
I will wait until this initial problem is fixed and I have the correct transferred minutes.
Only then will I do a separate additional transaction on the Tracfone website and add the minutes and time from HSN.

Other than the transfer problem, I think the phone is very nice, and seems to work well. A very worthwhile upgrade from old Tracfone "feature" phones.

Received the phone yesterday and it looks and works nice. I was able to transfer my number and existing minutes from my existing tracfone with no problems (took about 30-60 for tranfer to complete).
Tried adding the 600 minutes code, and it appeared to work, but it did not add any minutes or extend the date... Was bummed and figured I would have to call support this week :-(
Today I tried adding the same 600 minute code again, and it worked this time!!
Have not installed $25 play credit yet...

Ohh, one more suggestion if you are transferring your number (with existing minutes). Take a picture of the minutes/expire date BEFORE the transfer. In the past they said they could not look up how many minutes you had before you transferred. (I'm like really????) Looks like you can get the minutes/expire date for all tracfones now on the web site, so you could print from there also...

Switched to this smartphone from an old Tracfone Motorola flip phone. This phone is amazing compared to my old phone, but there's so much to learn about how to use it. After setting up an account on to view my balance, I found an interactive tutorial on how to use this phone which is pretty helpful for someone like me with a previously simple phone.

I would love to have one of these phones, but I will wait until the price comes down a bit. Shopcelldeals has them too (now for $129.99), and they are way to high in price yet, as the net10 version is only $58.99. Hopefully we will see a reduction in price after the holidays, or after the other android tracfones come on the market also.

Is this still exclusive to HSN?

Net10 requires $40 (or $50 or whatever) per month plan. That is why the phone is cheaper there.

Can we update to Jelly beans? did anyone try to do that?

Also I see a ZTE Valet android in ebay [] for $89.99. when I compare []the specs ZTE is looks better other than no A-GPS and screen says its "capacitive touch" where as Samsung says its 'capacitive multi touch".

Anyone have any experience with this ZTE Valet?

Does the minutes/text/data gets tripled when you transfer from an existing Tracfone to this Android phone. Eg., If my existing Tracfone has 150minutes and if I transfer to one of the Tracfone Android phones will I get 450min/450text/450mb data?

I called Tracfone CSR and they say I will get only 150min/150text/150mb and only when I add a new airtime card they will get tripled.

My wife got her airtime tripled when she transferred last month but I dont know if they have fixed the issue lately. Anyone tried this lately? -TIA
