Toshiba Satelitte P75-A7200 Laptop (Manufacturer Refurbished)

This powerful Toshiba laptop provides a portable workstation powered by a swift Intel Core processor and 8GB of memory. Integrated Bluetooth technology allows the laptop to wirelessly sync with smartphones, tablets, and external speakers. Enjoy media as it was meant to be seen thanks to Resolution+ technology, which makes the picture as crisp and clear as this laptop's harman/kardon speakers make the audio. Users can also stream music and charge devices as the laptop sleeps, preserving its power in anticipation of Y2K, which, for some reason, it thinks hasn't happened yet.

Drivers that work with Windows 7 64-bit for this laptop (needed when you want to *upgrade* to Windows 7) [From Notebook Review [notebookreview.com]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought I would share and help out. Just downgraded this model laptop to Win 7 x64 Ultimate. Hopefully this is useful for some people out there! I took a lot of time to re-confirm the links to post

Drivers that all seem to work:

Atheros wired LAN
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/c...51200b.exe
8,347,768 bytes

Bluetooth
Driver Information
40,773,182 bytes

Intel chipset (general installer, takes care of a lot)
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/..._autol.exe
6,167,800 bytes

Intel rapid storage technology (might only be useful if you have an SSD, might not be useful at all, but it works)
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/c...95900f.exe
18,679,184 bytes

Realtek card reader (had to get this from HP!)
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp5...p56166.exe
11,482,368 bytes

Touchpad (this one was annoying to track down, I just gave it a shot and it worked)
Drivers | Synaptics
114,922,857 bytes

USB 3.0
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/c...56300b.exe
7,733,440 bytes

Intel wireless LAN (I think this is the right one, if not use the one below)
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/c...ldid=23045
28,659,304 bytes

Intel wireless LAN (possibly another one, I *don't think* this is the one that is used though)
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/c...98200h.exe
87,426,680 bytes

Toshiba value added package (seems useful, but optional)
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/c...85400D.exe
114,646,232 bytes

Intel ME/AMT (it didn't say it worked, it didn't say it didn't. I don't think these have AMT installed though)
http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/c...97100f.exe
59,899,248 bytes

I hate downgrading and hunting around because the OEMs have tried to lock down their specific hardware specs, or only offer Windows 8 support now. I remember when you bought a laptop and you could do whatever you wanted with it, not secureboot+windows 8+possibly no working drivers for your OS

This is a great deal...selling for $730 at best buy...tons of great reviews, cpu rivals desktop, intel 4600 graphics. Nice if it had IPS display (it has a TFT), but not at this price point. Toshiba is one of the few laptop manufacturer's that still puts the speakers on top, where they belong. Only bummer is 90 day warranty. Front page soon...
I just bought this yesterday from BB for 729.99 - 50.00 edu coupon... OTD with tax for 740.00. Awesome lappy.

It basically has a desktop processor in it, so yeah, it's what you'd expect. Most of my laptops are old and get 2 hours if I'm lucky, so unless you get some huge extended battery for this, that's about what I'd expect for this current gen processor with a huge 1080p screen.

4600 means you will be able to play some games on low, maybe at FHD.

For those wanting processing power this is a good deal.

I know IPS displays are just eye-gasmic, but this display looked mighty good when I saw it at Best Buy. Not too shabby.

Only real negative is it's not a touch screen. I kind of like touch screens, prove pretty useful at times.

Lowest price open box I've seen at my area Best Buys is 690ish or so. For $550, this is just excellent.

There are some pretty good TFT displays out there with decent viewing angles. I had been looking for a 17" laptop for a long while and picked up a Dell for about half this price earlier this year, but it has a 1600x900 display and less than half the processing power. If I hadn't bought that, I would be all over this...

I have been looking for a laptop like this to replace my second gen. Its a great price for 1080 17" with i7. I'm not sure if I want a Toshiba.

most likely its 1.4b. I have heard these do true 120 Hz, but it might be frame packed. 4K is 24 Hz. I hate how HDMI is shitty compared to other tech, but is just marketed well.
also looking to replace my current few year old desktop replacement laptop.. I agree, not sure I want toshiba... that is a refurb...and only has 90 day warranty.... with no dedicated graphics card... seems there is also no bluray drive on this??? I passed on the last few toshiba deals with similar setups and similar prices... guess I just have an itchy trigger finger today... or wait for black friday/cyber monday...decisions decisions......shake head

isnt there 10-15% shop discover cash back or something with groupon...or is there certain restrictions and or rules that exclude this laptop???

Wow Haswell Chippery 4700 mobile, Full HD screen?
This is a steal at 550 bones! Too bad already had the Sony Vaio i5 17" FHD from some month ago... Windwos 7 plus SSD just flies and good gaming rig too...

This HAS more CPU brawn though and 4600 HD procesor aint bad at all...!

Since you mentioned "video card" and "bluray", it sounds to me like you want something higher spec'ed than this. This machine is more for productivity and mutli-tasking. This is a big purchase, so if you are going to regret not having those other features, I would wait for Black Friday.

Yo dawg I heard that you like replacements so I got you a 17" i7 so you can replace your laptop while you're replacing your desktop.

But seriously, what is the best CB site for this ? I don't think ShopDiscover works for electronics.
And does anyone know how many ram slots does this have total / populated ?
