Thread Details

Home Depot is having sale on this freezer for $168 or the 7 cu ft for $198
http://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-5-0...547584-_-N

I called Lowes to price match it plus try to use the $30 off $150 coupon exp 10/18/13
You can find the code from post below
http://slickdeals.net/f/6308420-lowes-20-off-coupon-code-20-off-100-30-off-150?v=1

This is YMMV because at first the person I talked to on the phone said she can only price match so I said what's the difference between me buying with them and buying with Home Depot. So she asked for the code but they can't really use that code so she probably just took $30 off

If you have AMEX card and have the lowe's $10 off $50 sync from post below you can get another $10 off, I got the e-mail as soon as I told them my credit card over the phone
http://slickdeals.net/f/6314692-american-express-statement-credit-with-50-purchase-at-lowes-com-or-in-store-10-statement-credit-twitter-account-required?v=1

The total was $138+ tax - $10

Good Luck

best way to use coupon and price match is simple:

Price match, receipt will just show an adjusted price

come back another day and bring coupon to apply to order

i did that with the honeywell PM thread i had for thermostats....still YMMV, but more likely to go through then to do it at the same time as PM

so they will apply online code for the order? I've never done it before but that sounds like a great way to do it than try to hope get a nice person to apply it

no they will not. so unless you like forging in house coupons and putting online codes/barcodes, i dont believe you can just bring a random # to them in the store and say "enter this"

No auto defrost that's good but convoluted process that wouldn't work if you get someone who follows their corp process for price matches,

Agreed; seems like a lot of "ifs" in that scenario. I'm not desperate for a deep freezer anyway. Smilie

Great deal, thanks!

I called Lowes, asked them to pricematch and they agreed. They then took some of my info and then gave me a total. I told them I also had a Lowes coupon and they said the system won't let them enter it. I said "Darn that stinks. HomeDepot takes competitor coupons so i could just go to them and use the coupon instead of shopping with you?" They checked with a manager and got it approved. $138+tax delivered!

Does anyone know what the minimum square footage and/or dimensions are to put 4 plastic milk crates in a chest freezer, 2 side by side and stacked on top of each other? I've never had a chest freezer and from reading up on it, a good way to organize your stuff is to put it in milk crates so you don't have to dig through mountains of stuff to find anything. Thanks.

PS- Anyone else got any optimal storage tips for freezers like these?

just called, they priced matched, but wants me to bring the coupon in for them to verify. Even though he ran the code and it went through.

milk crate dimension is 13" x 19" x 11"

the freezer is 22" x 28.31"
might be a tight fit for side by side and stacked
