I haven't seen Mad magazine in years. Since my grandparents were snowbirds and went to Florida for the winter, I remember always getting a copy before the flying south for vacation. Of course I haven't read an issue since the 80's.

I used to read mad magazine, but looking back I really never found anything about it funny. It was more like a compulsion to read everything in it and ensure I didn't miss anything. But nothing ever really made me laugh about it

They need to bring back MadTV with the original cast members and Will Sasso, Michael McDonald, Aries Spears, bobby lee, and mo collins

the last few season were terrible

The golden days of Mad are, sadly, long past. What's a Demeaning Plebny sufferer to do?

IMHO, if you read Mad back in the 70's and 80's, stay far, far away from the current incarnation. I bought a subscription two years ago and it was dreadful.

If you need a Mad fix, grab one of the compilations of their older material and call it a day. Smilie

The old MAD was great and I own the DVD with the back issues. But my 16 yr old son enjoys the new one because of the cultural touch points he recognizes.

Thanks for the perspective. I was going to dismiss this deal, but for my son who is 13, current Mad would probably relate more to him than the old Mad that I think I remember.

In fact, I seem to remember most things being better than they actually were laugh out loud

I still chuckle ever time I think of the " Gall in the Family" satire. Classic
