According to some review, color is terrible. Also, 2 HDMI only and no wifi

this is LG model and 55" TV and for only 500. don't expect it to come with every feature in the world. still a great deal.

It's a TV not an HDMI switcher (see: receiver) or a set top box (see: XBOX360 or Roku 3). Looks good to me!

And for people who don't want a receiver (which will add to the cost, ever thought about that?) but need an extra or two HDMI ports, this would be a deal breaker.

All that adds to the cost. For the ability to have 2 inputs, this is a great deal, and 2 is enough for most people who wouldn't already have a receiver. C'mon - 55" at $499!

some info from avs forum:

More than likely this is a Bestbuy exclusive, a stripped down model made with who knows what. The regular prices are jacked up as usual with any Black Friday deal. They will have a very limited quantity maybe not even 10 per store. In my opinion these doorbuster deals are usually junk products priced about where they should be. They always have items made exclusively for Black Friday.

I was at Best Buy last night picking up some items and I stopped to talk to one of the guys in home theater. He said that from what he knew of the TV that it was basically a stripped down 55LN5400. I at first thought it may be closer to the 55LN5200 model but as he pointed out that one is only 60hz. I grabbed one regardless. I can always return it.

Soundbar deal? The speakers on this likely sound worse than a netbook anyways.

Really though, buy this for $9 [monoprice.com] and then you have 4 ports total. There's ones on there for a few bucks more that have an IR receiver to trigger the switching, or auto sense as well.

I remember people complaining about this sort of thing back in the CRT days, when similar switch boxes were... also $9. Except now with digital signaling you no longer have to worry about the quality of the switches and wiring in the box(or crosstalk from lack of shielding internally) degrading your picture or audio.

Seriously, $9.
