12/10 2pm pst, MASTERPASS code is alive again

Changhong is the largest TV brand in China.

For those interested, this TV is "thrown" in free if you purchase the MSI GS70 Notebook for $1,549.99.

About the TV -

A 4yr warranty through SquareTrade for this TV is $66

Here is a small write up about Changhong [] in 2009

I'd buy it but I am scared my neighbors might see a "Changhong" box on my porch. Thumbs up for a good price

I could care less what it's called, as long as it looks good and works for more than a few months. Since its looks like a big brand in China, it probably is better built than an Insignia/Dynex/RCA/Westinghouse.. other low end tv.

I've never heard of the name either. It's crazy how many brands there are for TVs now.

While everyone wants to make fun of Made in China...let's not forget the iPHONEs are made in China too and tons of other products.

Ordered with an additional 2 year warranty for $400. My iSymphony made me a little jittery towards these off off brands.

People have been pleased with them, mostly. I just wonder how long they will hold up.

I thought the same thing until I did some research.

Apparently they are pretty big in Europe and China. They also have a plant where they produce panels in a joint venture with AUO.

I don't know if you're familiar with the "Samsung Panel Lottery", but AUO actually provides panels for several lower tier Samsung LCD & LED TVs. So, despite the crazy brand name, it might not actually be half bad.

I got one from last time and I am very satisfied with the product, much better than my crappy sharp TV.

thumbs up!
