Thread Details

What Magazine(s) did you start getting TODAY, free because of SD?
Try to also include the link to the thread you got it from (if you still remember).

Note: This thread is based on Nuala'sMom's idea.

Let's just save those really long brag lists for the other thread 'What are you getting", alright? This is intended to see which offers worked, which didn't.

Jackpot!

I just walked back from the mailbox: the Atlantic, Aviation Week & Space Technology, Bloomberg Businessweek, Car and Driver, CIO, Cosmopolitan, The Economist, Emergency Management, ESPN: The Interview Issue, The Family Handyman, Fast Company, Information Week, Kiplinger's, Men's Journal, Popular Mechanics, Pumped, Sports Illustrated (odd - I usually get it on Thursday), Time, US Weekly, Wine Spectator.

I have Glamour, but I would like a subscription to Cosmo. Big Grin
I filed for a subscription to Cosmo, but instead of just one, they're sending two - one to my wife (as well).

The mailman always looks funny at me when two of them arrive on the same day. But it's like I told him on another day, "...you can't hate anything sent via the mail - it's what helps to try & keep the USPS afloat." At worst, it's five weeks, but in reality, it's no more than 3-5 weeks when I get 8-9-10 on the same day.

Got my first free issues of Forbes and Fast Company this week.

Ordered them about 2 weeks ago.
The trifecta in the entrepreneurial world is Fast Company, Inc, and Entrepreneur magazine. There are others which are as good, but these three can be found for $0 on a regular basis.

Automobile[1] , Car Craft[1], CPU, Cycle World[1], Discover, Entrepreneur, Field & Stream[1], Playboy[2], Super Chevy[1], Wall Street Journal, Barron's, Time.

(I have other magazines which I have on a paid subscription, so I've not listed them here. My limit is $5/title/year. I've not compromised it, although it would probably get more of what I'm serious about, particularly if I raised it to $10. I've had to forego a lot of subscriptions I'm interested in, simply because I have refused to break open the piggy bank.

[1] These are magazines which are "volunteers". In rural areas, we refer to "volunteers" as clusters of crops appear, however small, yet that field has never had a given crop planted; e.g., patches (however small) of corn popping up in a field of wheat.

[2] I submitted a subscription to Playboy within the previous 2-3 weeks. None of the magazines I receive have taken more than 4-5 weeks to begin showing up in my mailbox -- despite the explanation it might take 6-8-10 weeks before it is received.
