TV Guide
Unfortunately, I don't know that I've ever seen TV Guide for free, and very rarely at a discount. Maybe someone else has a source and can chime in.

A tool that is sometimes helpful is www.magazinepricesearch.com - they don't include all sources for magazines, and some stores listed DO have auto-renew, but it can helpful when looking for good prices.

I don't know of a deal for Kiplinger, other than the $2 MagazineOutlet option. Maybe someone else has a source and will chime in...

You can get a year of Kiplinger for $2 via MagazineOutlet. Be very aware though, that MagazineOutlet DOES indeed auto-renew. The auto-renew MUST be cancelled, no matter what payment method you use.

That being said, I've had a positive experience myself with MagazineOutlet, placed more than 10 orders over the years with no problems. I have read here at SD, other folks, that despite cancelling the auto-renew, were still charged for renewals. They were able to get a refund, but it's something to consider if you want to go this route. If you have the ability to create a one time use cc number, that would probably be the best way to go for this situation (and, as mentioned above, be sure to cancel the auto-renew).

You cancel the auto-renew via your account at the MO website. I would recommend cancelling the auto-renew as soon as you see the charge(s) go thru on your credit card. You don't need to wait for MagazineOutlet to remind you, and probably shouldn't.

$2 Subs w/Magazine Outlet (includes Kiplinger) - Detailed directions on cancelling the auto-renew are in this thread - post # 14.

Interesting...I always use virtual generated cc number so companies cannot auto-renew me. I think I should be safe here shake headWinkwoot

Yes, I agree. Along with using a one time use/virtual card - also be sure to also cancel the auto-renew as indicated. You (as in "the customer") agree to the auto-renewal in the terms of service when you sign up - so you really need to cancel it. Detailed instructions indicated upthread. It's not hard - you can do it online via your MagazineOutlet account. If they can't bill your card, and you don't cancel the auto-renew, they will send a bill in the mail. My tip from me to you. Allure
I haven't seen Allure as a freebie in a long time (as in, years)...sometimes it's offered at a discount via Amazon or DiscountMags promos. It also occasionally shows up in promos from Condé Nast for $4/$5 per year.

If you take part in the MyCokeRewards program, MCR offers 12 Issues of Allure for 250 pts via the MagazineGoldCard (no cc/payment info required; no auto-renew)

Cooking Light

You can pick up Cooking Light from RecycleBank for 360 Pts.

1 Yr/12 Issues - Cooking Light Magazine - 360 RecycleBank Pts
https://www.recyclebank.com/recyc...ssues-8500

If you're unfamiliar with RB, it's a site where you do different tasks to earn pts that you can redeem for various things, including magazine subscriptions. It's easy to accrue the pts, and esp if you're new to RB, it won't take long to earn the pts to redeem for the subscription.

* Subscription Comes Directly from Publisher
* Offer Good for New or Renewal Subscriptions
* No Auto-Renew
* No Payment/CC Info Needed

Dedicated RB thread here at SD

If you have miles with an airline, you could possibly redeem with airline miles for a free sub (each carrier has different magazine titles available) - you can either go your specific carrier's website or magsformiles.
