From the link:
"In case you haven't heard, we're taking the first steps of the new Playfire Rewards BETA program. What this means for you as a gamer is pretty damn significant. In a nutshell, play games on your Steam account and get GMG Credit to buy more games."

http://blog.playfire.com/2013/12/...fire.html?

"24 hours after you have a Playfire Rewards Credit balance on Playfire, that becomes GMG Credit on your account! if that doesn't work try re-linking your steam account per some users in the playfire forum"

if your having issues with the credit or no credit applied.. submit a ticket to playfire:

It appears that the newsletter bonus is only applied if you had originally opted out and then later opted in. If you checked the box during the sign-up process, unchecking the box (and saving) and re-checking it (and saving again) seems to trigger the instantaneous credit (worked for me on a brand-new account).
From what I read:
-This is in beta and more achievement's will be added.. including ones like playing certain games and staying logged in for certain times
-For now its starting off with the most popular games and you get rewards in the form of cash credit based on finishing certain levels.. the higher the more reward.
-Takes up to 24 hours before the reward is added to your greenmangaming account which you can use for further purchases.

Just got this from the blog forum on playfire:

We've added the following rewards. Again, the same restrictions apply for this beta test, we only award you with GMG credit if you unlock the achievement after today. We know this frustrates some users, but this is specifically a beta requirement as there are finanical implications and risks with giving away credit. Hopefully this will add more variation for you to choose from with more to come. All of these games are in todays Green Man Gaming holiday sale.

I don't pay attention to them myself.. I just play the games and whatever shows up shows up.. won't hurt to get anything out of it right!

where do you sign up for this newsletter to get .75? not seeing it, opted in for all the mailings in the playfire account, linked it all to steam and not getting any 75 cent credit.

EDIT

never mind, i see it, it is listed in the rewards area, just not in my account yet.

Windows only, poop. Well, I can use virtualbox to get it to recognize my PSN at least.

Well, that's your opinion only. Me? I love achievements. Love them. I cradle myself alone nights, shivering with pre-climactic anticipation of the next sweet conquest, my turgid prowess driving home, penetrating deeply between the dewy tumblers and cylinders of the laughable "challenges" set forth by whatever waifish, vulnerable game I've lured into my private library on the cheap from the latest Steam sale. I sip fine cognac and enjoy a servant-rolled cigarillo while the chambermaids anoint my chiseled physique in the scarcest, most aromatic of essential oils upon unlocking each and every one. On those bitter days when I get chewed out by my pissant boss for stupid stuff I retire to the confines of my manor, coolly survey the obstacles which have fallen before me like so much chaff before the sickle, and find I am made whole once again. Achievements are not for the meek - though my visage may eventually shatter and fall asunder like that of Ozymandias, it is better to forfeit inheritance of the earth so that the mighty may look upon my gamerscore, and despair. Achievements are for men who dream; men who dare; men who achieve! Men who carve out entire galaxies with nothing more than nimble cheetos-dusted fingers and their wits, and in our leisurely twilight days we shall sit by softly flickering fires with our descendants recounting the tales of these unimaginable glories. And you? What will you be doing? What's in your wallet? The matter is a simple one - make sex with achievements, or make sex with yourself.

Choose wisely...

I'm curious on how achievements that have already been earned are handled. Would you have to earn them again somehow?

I guess I have to download the client to get this credit to show up? I don't see a rewards section on the website, but then again, it seems to be still catching up with all my games, achievements, and hours I have on Steam.

It will pull the data from your steam account that you logged in with.

FYI, achievement earned b4 entry does not count

basically if you are an achievement whore like me, who perfect every game in the lib, you cannot earn any credit.
