Costco concierge service

My experience with the Costco concierge service has been disappointing so far with the repair of my Dell desktop XPS 8300 computer. They used PC clinic, not Dell for my unsuccessful repair.

Does any one have anything to say about the Costco concierge service?

Good or bad!

That is why I quit recommending or buying Dell computers.

I had one with the next business day warranty and the hard drive started losing sectors.
After 3 re installs of the OS I called them and they said as it was still working, they would not replace the Hard Drive. So I had to buy my own and install it and the OS.

Later when talking with the local computer repair shop they told me they used to due warranty repairs for Dell and quit due to lack of payment by Dell.

I find that it is true they avoid repairing computers under warranty quite often.
Also a number of years ago a new computer from Dell failed several time, they were doing warranty repairs at this time. After 4 fixes, they replaced it.

My last Dell was a Zino, almost 4 years old, and it is now overheating. Probably due to failure of the thermal pad or paste. So I have upgraded to a Small Form Factor Acer which is fast and quiet the model is AXC 605 UR29.

I have friends who have 15 year old ones, that still work.
So apparently quality has gone down.

I now buy Acer, Samsung and Toshiba computers, no problems with any of them over several years.

I have lots of experience with Costco Concierge Services, they are on my speed dial. Until I bought a Samsung LED TV I never talked with them. Now I am on the second Samsung LED TV and I talk with them at least every month.

The first problem occured during the 90 day bring it back policy, my mistake listening to Concierge Services they convinced me that it was OK, it was not and it took 14 months and 3 repairs to get them to refund my money and then I bought another Samsung, it too started having problems within 90 days. Now it has been 4 months since I bought it and Samsung is going to send out a repair person. Concierge Services again lacked adequate information, did not know how to get Smart Hub running correctly, I figured it out myself while waiting for Samsung to get on the line.

It is a good deal as the price is usually about the same, just know that it may be easier to buy a Square Trade Warranty and use it instead of Concierge Services if you have problems. If they are unable to fix the current Samsung TV I am am going to return it and buy a Vizio TV, I have had 2 of them and they have never failed.
