Careful with credit card gift card (like Vanilla Visa Gift Card). PIA can't process gift credit cards reliably.

Here are some alternative VPN services that have large selection of servers (worldwide)proxy.sh is $5 month

Setting up BT software Vuze (used to be call Azureus) to only use VPN connection (won't connect if VPN connection not available.)
Here is a tutorial of it.
http://wiki.hidemyass.com/Tutoria...hrough_VPN
Here's a tutorial for utorrent: http://wiki.hidemyass.com/Tutoria...IP_binding
(Remember to un-check make new firewall rule in utorrent settings/prefs)

uTorrent step-by-step instructions [lifehacker.com]

Enter the interface identifier into the field next to "Bind to local IP address or interface" in the settings.
Note that the interface identifier is named different on every system, so make sure to check how exactly it is called on yours.
In their example, it is "eth15" for OpenVPN, "net2" for PPTP" and "net1" for L2TP.

Make sure the checkbox next to "Enforce IP bindings even when interfaces are not available" is checked;
otherwise it can happen that Vuze keeps downloading without using the VPN.

If the Vuze setup is done correctly, it will ONLY use your VPN connection. If you didn't login to your VPN service, Vuze won't work.

How does this work? If I hit buy now they just let me pay straight up? Don't I have to make an account on the website or anything? How do they know who I am?
Through software but I'm hoping there could be router setup to.

Anyway to set it up through router? And also was wondering.. will you be able to play HK/China contents through VPN as some of the websites are restricted to mainland China only. Would be nice if I am able to play HK/China contents using a HK/China VPN server.

I did some research and it DOES support dd-wrt and router setup. So you can avoid the software at home for mostly home users. Smilie

This isn't what I actually need it for but simplest way to explain what I am looking for is:

I want to vote for myself in a contest many times, but they track IP and require US IPs. So I need a VPN that:
1) Has many different (US) IP addresses
2) Is easy to switch between addresses and randomly select a new one
3) Is able to restrict to only select US IP addresses

I currently am using HideMyIp and it does the above three great, it's just super slow!!

4) Icing on the cake: Can I set it up that it only affects, say, FF, but IE and Chrome are my regular IP?

TIA!!

When I have this software running on my Main PC in my office (where I would be doing potential torrents etc.) and connected to this VPN client to mask what I am doing .... does this also do the same for everything else running WiFi and hardwired off my ASUS Router connected to this main PC?

Or is it JUST the PC alone using the VPN client But the rest of my stuff running off the Router is on my regular Comcast service correct??? Or when I connect to this client my entire network is now running on this?

Reason I ask is I want 100% max Up and Down speeds for the remainder of my house and also for my console gaming needs as well ... But I want to be running this on my main PC for other things aside from that.

Any info on this would be great.

thanks so much.

5 devices simultaneously?

What happen if you connect to more than 5 devices? I'm planning to configure the router with the VPN instead on 5 devices.

TIA

Found the answer to my question:
Once you connect to the VPN, every application will be protected with the VPN tunneling layer.

when you select payment you also provide an email address. they send you login credentials to the e-mail address that work through the time period paid for...

you might be able to even do it without email... or with guerrilla mail or mailinator. they try to make the transaction as anonymous as you want it to be.

Did they add any Asian locations they promised couple years ago?

Hong Kong is now an option on the server list but it's the only location in Asia so far. Gave it a try and speeds seemed alright for being on the other side of the globe.

i've been using it for about a year and i'll probably renew, but be aware that they throttle downloads bigtime. if i'm downloading a show from bbc iplayer, throughput drops dramatically after just 20mb
