Thread Details

They have had a XB1 project going for a while and now are sending out NDA's for a PS4 project. Other people on GAF have attested to the fact they are legit and the games are AAA games.

At-Home Game Testers for AAA Multiplayer Console and PC Titles

At-home game testers don't ordinarily get to test AAA titles before they're released, but some games are going to be so big they need to be stress-tested by players all over the world. These aren't MMOs—they're AAA multiplayer console games everyone will be playing and talking about once they're released.

VMC Game Labs is giving qualified gamers the rare opportunity to play those games now. These paid game testing jobs run on a weekly basis across the Americas (North, Central, and South), Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

We're constantly growing with new opportunities! Look out for our testing sessions featuring multimedia streaming platforms, mobile applications, and more!

We need game testers who:

Are at least 18 years old and will sign a non-disclosure agreement
Can focus well and follow instructions in a timely manner
Will maintain professional behavior at all times
Apply now by selecting your area of residence:

North America

Latin America

Europe

Asia & Oceania

Questions and comments can be directed to the VMC Game Labs Remote Testing team via email at VMCMontrealCoordinators@VMC.com. You can also find us on Facebook at facebook.com/VMCRemoteTesting.

This is one of those things that sounds like a dream job but is actually terrible. Like "ice cream flavor tester." Your job is to protect the public from nastiness, not enjoy the product.

So, excellent if you like games and have endless patience.

Based on the people in the xb1 testing that's been going on for a while, I'm inclined to think you're wrong. Those people are trying to get in the ps4 group as well. Or maybe getting paid to play crappy games is just worth it to them, I don't know.

I'm sure some people love it. However, I guarantee it's not for everyone. You're playing the game in its most broken state, so if you're trying to play it like an actual game, you'll (possibly) be frustrated by hitbox glitches, random boots, etc.

Of course, it depends on what state the game is in.

Could be. I'm in another beta and it's nothing to write home about but it's also not paid. The representation here is these are AAA games they are mostly load testing and such. Either way, if you can get paid sitting in your recliner, the game would have to be pretty bad to not be worth it in my opinion. If it's good or just decent, even better.

The stories I've read about being a game tester make it sound undesirable.

I ALMOST signed up for this. I'm currently unemployed so it's not like I don't have a wealth of time I could dump into doing this.laugh out loud But I only have one system(PS3) that they listed on the application for this. So I doubt I'd be an ideal candidate.

Not to mention I'm still waiting for Rockstar Games to start paying us gamers for essentially beta testing GTA Online in it's current buggy/broken state for the eventual PS4/XBone/PC releases as it's in crap condition at the moment.

From my own experiences, he uses and abuses the sites he is a member of. He cares about no one but himself. If there's a deal ANYWHERE, he is the person to buy 100x of whatever it is to resell for profit, and usually get the deal pulled or canceled.

He lives near me. A couple years ago, he bought five copies of a game on clearance at target closest to me. Bragged about it here then soon found out the trade value wasn't worth a 'flip'. When I called him on it for being a scumbag for buying out the stock, he PM'ed me and told me he would now purposely return them to a target far away from me so I can't get a copy for myself.
Whine more, please.
