I just want my 2010 CRV to be followed up on and have the damned thing replaced but hell, even the ones that have had their airbags replaced are being told they have to likely be replaced again.
Makes me uncomfortable driving a car that could shoot shrapnel at you at any given time and yes I know the odds are low but still... my luck at playing the odds have never been great
And even pressing them to give a loaner in the interim only gives me the option of a rental from Enterprise of a lowest priced car on the lot (compact)..something like a $35/ day allowance...and that's they bare minimum ...meaning I'd still have to pay something out of pocket every stinking day for crap like taxes and other fees.
I received the recall notice months ago but there are sooooooooo many farking cars on the list that it will take years to get through them all.
And they give the spiel that it's only an issue if you live in humid climates blah blah BS BS BS. What if I wanted to sell this and get a diff car? I can't...
It has less than 37K miles on it so in theory it should get a good resale price but nooooooooooooo...

PLEASE DON'T:
1) Just show up and fail to participate at all. There's a lot of standing, kneeling, and some sitting, with several recitations. If you just show up and fail to participate, then people can't properly kneel in the pew behind you. "Couple in front" of me spent most of the time dumbfounded and refused to kneel. The awkward physical position of kneeling without being able to rest on your pew caused me to throw my back out. Sigh.
2) Dress like it's a 1940's cosplay convention, show up for fun without learning how our service differs from others and trying to do as we do. Still speaking about the couple in front.
3) Mass doesn't end with communion so don't walk out just because you can't receive it. There's a blessing at the end.
4) Grope, kiss, or place your hand on your partner's ass. Lot of ass handling last night. It's church. Can you save it for the car? Thanks.
5) Bring a baby or toddler to midnight mass when there are several family services earlier in the evening. Yes, it is a bit magical hearing an infant scream while hearing about a baby being born, but it wears thin. Your child who is tired and bored.
6) Show up and talk about us like we're not there. Couple behind me. "Yeah so I wasn't expecting this. This part is where... This is a big deal for Catholics and..." Explain the service or learn about it beforehand rather than giving an ignorant play by play to your friend DURING the service.
DO:
- Come as you are. A lot of people no longer dress up. Pajama pants or sweats are fine!
- Record the service and choir quietly and respectfully with your phone. Some people will look but it's really okay. Some wait until after to take pics. Doesn't matter.
- Try to be there for the same basic reason the regular parishioners are there. Just learn what to expect during the service.
- Stay until the very end! Admire decorations, talk to others.
- Bring the kids to a family service and only try midnight if your kid is given a fifth of vodka first or is really sleepy. It's not that it ruins the service so much as it is that you miss the service trying to quiet your child in an atrium who really wants to be asleep.
DW was happy. Then she asked me how to insert a CD. I looked for a minute but couldn't figure it out either. Turns out the semi-local electronic company that rhymes with dies gave me a Bose Wave Radio instead. Charged me the price of the more expensive system that has the cd player.
Wish me luck tomorrow. Somehow I think I'll need it.
Update: Three hour of my time and about 3 gallons of gas later, I received a refund. I was afraid they would think I was trying to pull a fast one until they saw they had negative one available for sale.

Also... when you decide to pull into a left lane to make a left turn ..pull all the farking way into the damned lane... at least 3 times in the last farking week some stupid asshat has decided last minute or shot across the road...hurrying across traffic to get into that left lane only to leave the ass of their vehicle sticking out so that I have to stop dead and wait til they get a damned clue and move up or over enough to clear the way for the traffic that was moving.
Oh and one more.. now that I work here... I can't farking rant about stupid shit that I run into at work like I used to be able to do with my old job.. you guys were great to be able to rant to.. now... I cannot
