Dell has Sharp LC-65LE643U AQUOS 65" 1080p LCD HDTV w/ $350 Dell GC for $1,200 + free roku stick + free shipping.

It's their usual deal - Pay $1200 plus tax, and get the $350 epromo gift card 10-20 business days later.

Ways to save:

Dell advantage benefits - 5% extra ($60) or 10% if you use your Dell preferred account ($120) (This comes in the form of a gift card)

This has worked for me previously - put a minimal amount on your Dell preferred account, say $10, and then put the rest on Discover. You then get 10% back on each - a value up to $240 or so. (gift card from Dell, and cashback on Discover)

So, best case scenario --- $1199 plus tax (my case $1306) - $350 promo card - $240 (Discover card and Dell preferred account) = $716

And don't forget about the few people who call to cancel, and Dell gives them an additional $40 - $100 off to keep it.

And you can always sell the Roku stick. My guess about $40.

AND you can get $50 off if you have the Discover coupon, or $100 if you have the Amex offer.

Best best case scenario - $716 - $100 (I got that amount before, YMMV) - $40 Roku stick (I got the box) = $576. (plus $50 or $100 from Discover/Amex if you have the offers)

Don't kill me on math, not my strong suit.

I think its a good deal. Good luck.

Don't forget to check if you have that $50 coupon from discover! In the extras section. Someone posted it on here, so if you use it, rep him/her.

This may sound naive, but can you sell the GC? Has anyone sold one and if so, for how much? I'm trying to justify getting this.

eBay or Raise.com are usually the way to go. Each site takes 15% of your sale price.

Lots of people have had bad experiences with eBay. I don't know about Raise.

Most save it for the next deal (even though they expire after 90 days) and keep moving the money forward. Or buy a PS4 and sell it to get straight cash.

Bought a 60" with one of these deals a couple of months ago. Looks like time to upgrade to a 65" with my leftover promo gift cards

By selling my GC's to him I landed a 1200 TV for $450 during Black Friday. He's good people.

A true SDer will use the gift cards when there's a slick deal at the Dell outlet, a Venue 8 Pro for instance, and then sell that on eBay and get back nearly 100% (or more) of the gift card's face value...!

I I just signed up for a Dell Preferred account. This is what I get at checkout with a Dell Preferred Account. I have to add money first to get a discount? Also, why is Dell forcing me to buy extra warranty for $49.99.

Total Price
Subtotal $1,199.99
Shipping & Handling $9.00
Shipping & Handling Discount -$9.00
Tax $91.44
Total Price: $1,291.43

You shouldn't have to buy a warranty at all. Fight that. Just make sure they active your dell advantage account so you get the 10% in promo card form. If its too late, don't stress it. Call them later and they will send you the promo card.

So this Sony is better KDL-50W800B or this sharp LC-55LE643U or this sharp for $1200?

The Sony is 1 mil to 1 color ratio and 120 hz to 480 Sony pro chip
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-...&cp=1&lp=1

sharp is 4 mil to 1 and 120 hz to 240 aqua motion
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sharp...&cp=1&lp=1

And btw I don't have discover and Amex cards

Are you sure this part works? I was told that whatever balance is on the dell preferred account is what will receive 10% cashback. Just verifying before I sign up for this account otherwise I might as well just put it on my Discover.
