What exactly is so portable about these? Do they fit in your pocket? If not they are just as portable as any other set of headphones

I've owned many pairs of headphones. And I stick to what I said. They all either have to be continuously worn, thrown around my neck, or i have to bring a backpack. And if I have to bring a backpack then literally any pair of headphones under the sun will fit in the backpack. If you are looking for collapsible headphones these are what I have http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRV6-...B00001WRSJ But they aren't good for the gym but, i don't go to the gym really.

These are some of the best sounding cans you are going to find in this price range. They also come with a lifetime warranty and Koss will replace them as long as you pay to ship them back, usually around $6. They do fold up and come with a little carrying bag. Maybe around 1"x3" when collapsed. Not sure what mamamia is complaining about; these are as small as any other "portable" headphone, certainly much more compact than full size. If you want smaller, you're going to be stuck with in-ear.

Aren't we forgetting something? Ksc75 are definitely smaller, use same driver as Porta Pro and would be funny to see you try to put them in your ears... Plus, they're great for working out (in my opinion) .

Hard to beat these cans (and the KSC-75) for < $30.

I own KSC75s and recently acquired AKG K44 from the Guitar Center deal. I don't really need more headphones but am tempted, but if they sound/feel like KSC75s then no need, right? I also own UE700 but can't get used to the in-ear thing.

I have two (separate) uses for 'phones, one for jogging, the other for office use. For the latter, I'd like noise isolation but over-the-ear phones with NI are too pricey. I basically listen to internet radio over the pc while at the office. Comfort over long(ish) periods is important. Sound is too of course.

I used to be an audiophile but now I just like music and don't obsess like I used to. And am thankful for that...

Wrong, not the same driver. One it titanium coated and the other isn't

Was concern about the size of it more.
You're right about the coating on the ksc, it does give it more treble too.

Get past the looks, it's worth it. These were designed way back when headphones had to sound good and they haven't changed the design since then, except to also offer a model with in-line mic. For twenty-five bucks these will beat the crap out of Dre Idiot Cans for Suckers (TM). They're also very light and have adjustable tension. Their sound is straightforward with no resonance or boosting, they don't block environmental noise which is great for not getting hit by a car. And they fold. The only flaw is that they come with a soft pouch instead of a hard case. I likely have some twenty or so decent phones, buds, cans, etc, but I carry these every day.

This set off my Tri-C price alert and I came here to post them.
