Editor's Notes & Price Research

Written by daisybeetle

Lowes has some great offers on tools, and the timing for Father's Day couldn't be better. I have the Hitachi Miter Saw and the Drill/Driver and Impact Combo Kit. I used the Miter Saw for the first time not long ago, and was very happy with its performance. We got the drill/driver on a refurb deal, and it has been the go-to tool for so many jobs. It has even dropped 5 feet onto concrete, and still performs like a champ - daisybeetle

Would this compressor be OK for a framing nailer? Looking to build out a couple new walls for a media room, and really don't want to do it manually. Walls would probably only be 5 feet long.

Should be ok, just make sure your framing nailer requires <125psi. The compressor will cycle on/off more often than with a 6 gallon, but for a small job that shouldn't be an issue at all.

the compressor looks like 10 bux off. "normally" 99. How good a deal is this?

Also, any links to the best $1 filler item?

Doubtful, youll be waiting forever... each nail would drop you down fast and have to run a cycle each time and firing with low pressure... not good at all...

its only good for trim nailers and then its still going to run constantly.

Forget about anything that runs constantly like sanders also except tire filling.

Why is it for "fathers day gifts" retailers assume we want MORE TOOLS for MORE WORK..

Mothers would be miffed if we gave them.. oh frying pans, toasters, vac cleaners..!

Can you buy 1/2 the 6 gallon compressor on one receipt, and the 2nd half on another, add a $10 filler, and use two $10 off coupons? Just trying to make it more slick
