I like the idea of laying in a supply of cheap knives - when a hurricane came through, I supplied the neighborhood with flashlights from a SD. But I'm concerned that the quality of these may be too low.

Does anyone have experience with these? Are they liable to snap or come apart? Is the blade already sharp?

what's the quality of the steel? Or is it like a one time use knife only? Like so you use it once and then you throw it. EEK!
What are you using the knife on?

just picked them up. better than i was expecting for this price. even the flashlight is pretty bright. opening the plastic shell package was a slight pain in the ass, especially because there are unfolded knives inside

Who is the freak marketer at Lowe's that wrote that copy. If you were hiking the Appalachian Trail, you sure as hell wouldn't carry 25 knives, and especially ones that are so crappy quality.

A good deal. I have several buddies that go thru knives like most people go thru ballpoint pens. These are cheap gifts, bar bet prizes & etc.

These would work great if you fly alot. I always carry a pocket knife and forgot about it when I went through airport security a couple of months ago. If course TSA found it. My choices were to either mail it to myself for $15, or let them keep it. Even though it was a $50 knife, I donated it to the TSA because there wasn't enough time to mail it and then go back through the line quick enough still make my flight. With one of these knifes it wouldn't be a big deal if you lost it to the TSA.

If you fly a lot you should know better than to try to carry knives or any other weapons with you aboard planes. The TSA takes weapons very seriously, maybe the loss will help you remember next time.
