As a knife collector, all i can say is what is someone going to do with so many crappy knives?

I received this set as a gift. Wouldn't recommend any of the knives for more than letter/box opening or maybe as bait knives. I wouldn't trust them at all for anything requiring any amount of moderate to heavy force, even opening some plastic encased is iffy. I keep one on my desk for packages and one and my shop drawer for pencils, rest are in a bag in the basement.

If you really want some knives to stash away in various places for emergency use you would be better served getting some of the inexpensive quality knives in the $5-$10 range, you never know you may need to really use one and something that may collapse at any second is not going to be of much use.

Look up Sarenmu or Enlan on Ebay some of there stuff is very nice and dirt cheap. Keep an eye on Slickdeals, I've collected quite a few super cheap quality knives over the years.

Knives? Who cares about knives when you're hiking the Appalachian Trail? It's the carabiners ya need for rapeling down the side of a cliff to get to the McDonalds.

Looks like perfect cheap knives to keep around in tackle boxes, utility drawers, etc.

$12.98 wasted on junk would be better spent to help someone in need.

Bought two sets of these a couple years ago after the holidays. The cheap plastic handles feel like they're going to fall apart but always seem to hold up well enough. They are sharp out of the box, and they do stay reasonably sharp after some use (in my case including using one to trim out some holes in drywall). I've also used them to pry open cases on monitors and XBoxes that I've repaired and they haven't broken yet. They are annoying/slightly dangerous to close, so don't give em to your kids. For real work I carry around a USA-made Kershaw, but when I need more than one to get the job done or when I know the blade is going to take some abuse I'll grab these.

We tried to warn you. They are crappy. Plastic holds the blades. I should have been a little stronger in my warning.Take the $12 and buy a decent knife.

If you fly a lot you should know better than to try to carry knives or any other weapons with you aboard planes. The TSA takes weapons very seriously, maybe the loss will help you remember next time.
Where's the wagging finger and tapping toe emoticon when you need one? Wink

Re the knives, I bought a similar set of the larger ones from Lowes about a year ago. They have actually held up better than I expected, tho they don't stay sharp for long and don't take sharpening well. But for the price I'm not complaining.

Bought two sets so I can give some knives to dumbo friends who insist on carrying them onto airplanes.......OMG

I'm ok with the purchase. i can never find a knife when i need one. some of them aren't that bad. just impressive how poorly these are made.

cheap knives at a cheap price. these are fine if ur looking to just throw into a glove box in ur car, or a tackle box or any situation where u won't care if u lose or damage a knife that cost you 50 cents. of course if u really need a decent knife for constant use during the day this is the wrong product.
