Prayers needed - Wedding Pictures included

Please pray for my fiancé. He was leaving his parents house in SC when he called me and said he wasn't feeling well. We got disconnected and I wasn't able to get through to him for a bit. He finally called me and was confused. Told me his right side of his body was numb and he struggled to make it back to his parents house. I begged him to hang up and call 911 since his parents weren't there.

He has been taken to the ER. By the time the paramedics got to him, he wasn't able to talk. His parents and 13 year old daughter are with him now so I am getting updates but it isn't the same as being there with him.

I love this man more than life itself. I am supposed to leave MI on Thursday to move to GA to be with him. He has to be ok. I can't live a second of my life without him.

Please pray for him!!!

Just heard from his daughter that they think he had a stroke and he is being admitted.

Definitely sounds like a stroke type event. With the focus that the medical world has been putting on identifying strokes and treatment, we are miles ahead of where we were just a few years ago. With quick identification, and treatment, many of these events are fully recoverable. From your description of his rightside weakness, and confusion, any emt with even the minimum training would have immediately thought stroke. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.

This event shows us all how quickly something like this can come on. And the importance of contacting help as soon as possible when you notice these symptoms, because you may not be able to communicate if you wait too long.

Thank you. It is so hard being this far away from him right now. I was supposed to leave for Georgia Thursday but I may have to make other arrangements and drive to SC tomorrow. I need to be with him. I need to see for myself that he is going to be ok

Just be careful if you take off driving there on your own. Don't push it and try to get there too fast even though you want to be there right now. You can't do him any good if something happens to you along the way. Just stay focused on the drive and stay safe.

Take care and update here when you can.

Thank you. He is doing a little better. He just got into his room in the ICU. He can talk a little bit and seems less agitated. I hope these are good signs and he continues to improve
