If your Vitamix is within Warranty period, they will supply you with the Revised Container..
No known Retail Vitamixes comes with the Revised Container, so you will still have to call them if you purchase from a brick-n-mortar.
Ok.. So.. Way back in April of 2014, it was discovered that Vitamix blending blade-hubs shed black teflon particles INTO the mix.
97% of online users who saw the major threads over @ slickdeals reported black-dust-positive.
Today, I've received 2 replacement containers from Vitamix, under the promise that they are "FIXed" and black dust free.
I am happy to report that, this is INDEED the case.
If you take a look at the pictures below.. The black seal ring is now made of a SOFT-er rubber material, and the central post makes direct contact with it.
The seal between the central post and the black ring, is done via what Vitamix will tell you is a FOOD-SAFE lubricant.
As you can see, this lubricant (white stuff around the ring) will get into your food, albeit, in small amounts.
There's no way to make this type of seal work without the lube, so, that's always how it's gonna be.
Originally there were 2 issues with the old hub.. the Original black cap was of a hard material, and would disintegrate upon use.
This was what caused the black specs to enter the blend.
The second issue was, the original blade hub, also allowed SOME lubricant to get into the mix. in the previous case, the lubricant was (black) and was visible during prolonged blends.
The new lubricant seems to be all White, which, means even if it got into your blend, it will be invisible.
With this new hub, Vitamix has rectified the Teflon-Black-dust situation, and took care of the aesthetic Black-lubricant situation.

WARNING to all who's purchased this deal... At least 25 people have confirmed this issue, Could be a design flaw... see below or post #440
WARNING to all Vitamix Owners... The source of the black dust has been confirmed. There is NO potential fix for the current blade design, Meaning, no amount of replacement jars will solve the black dust issue. It's a Design flaw !!

Little Black specks coming off of the Blade-assembly?
Both the original blade/jar they sent me AND the Replacement blade/jar did this.. Blade dates, 03/2014 06/2014
I received mine 2 days ago..
Set it up.. scrubbed down the container with soapy water, rinsed and put clear water in it..
I put it on High and blended it for 4-5 minutes.. and noticed a black residue on the INSIDE of the jar.. you can see it most clearly while the machine has water blending through it.. the white contrast..
I called vitamix, the support-rep told me that this is due to a rubber gasket issue of the blade..
So, she sent me out a new container and blade..
I got that today, tested it out, same tests.. scrub clean, rinse, blend rinse, blend clear water..
I did this for almost 30 cycles on the first jar/blade hoping it would dissipate. (break in).. That never happened.. while it doesn't build up as much on the side of the jar as much anymore, there's still tiny black bits in the clear water when it comes out..
I 've thus far tested the Replacement NEW jar AND blade they sent me.. same issue...
It's not my water, I even tried bottled water for a few runs..
You have to blend clear water for a good 3-5 minutes, then pour the water into a clean white plate, and let the water settle, because the bits are quite small, and if they're moving you can not see it..
The last 2 pictures are from the water poured into the white plate..
