We apologize again for the incorrect description of the 120 degree lens, it should not have been described as 140 lens; we have explained the reason for the issue (supplier related) and wish to reiterate that we take full responsibility for not properly vetting the supplier in question. We never meant to mislead customers, this was never our intention. We fully appreciate that customers are disappointed and we have discussed the matter internally at Gearbest.
For the customers who do not wish to accept their G1W-C car DVR due to the camera angle being 120 degrees instead of 140 degrees, we have arranged a solution:
● For customers based in the USA, please return their G1W-C car DVR to our USA warehouse
● For customers who are not based in the USA, please return the G1W-C car DVR to our China warehouse.
● After we have received the product and ensured it is in working condition, we will process a full refund for you INCLUDING the return shipping fee to us.
● Please note that the length of the refund process depends on the payment method used along with the payment provider service.
RMA and Refund Process:
1. To start the RMA process, please contact our Support Center (support.gearbest.com ) and provide them with the details (order number, order details, shipping address, and reason for RMA).
2. Once your RMA has been authorized by our Customer Support staff, you will be provided with a return shipping address (either USA or China depending on the country of dispatch).
3. Please remember to use the standard postal service only, not a courier.
4. Also please help us by providing the relevant freight information, including the tracking number which is required (this cost will be reimbursed during the refund process).
Gearbest will always endeavor to make every customer happy. We extend our apologies to our customers for the camera angle issue. Clearly we were remiss on this occasion and will do our best to expedite the RMA and refund process for any customers who wish to receive a full refund. Thank you again for your support.
Also a quick update on the order status. We have dispatched all black G1W-C orders last week, and up till now, only 5 blue G1W-C orders haven't been shipped out. These five blue orders are done with testing and packaging today, and will be shipped out tomorrow. A new batch of black G1W-C has arrived our warehouse, and they are again packaged in the original boxes. So any future orders will be dispatched within 3 business days.

If you guys are going to dispute, don't file a chargeback on your credit card because paypal will charge them $20 chargeback fee which isn't really good for a merchant.
ONLY USE CLASS 4 or CLASS 6 SD cards with this. Class 10 have high chance of file corruption on these units.

FYI G1W-C does not have a 140 lens, only the G1W-H has a 140. The G1W-C and G1W have a 120.

Firstly, we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for the huge interest in our special deal for the GW1-C, it's definitely been one of our most popular offerings ever on Slickdeals.
We have some good news and some bad news. Depending on which you prefer to read first, you can jump to the appropriate section but even the bad news is not disastrous:
Our supplier for the G1W-C has informed us of production delays on their end for the black version of the GW1-C. The manufacturer requires additional time due to a specification update: the previous G1W-C model had a 120 Degree Wide Angle Lens however this has been superceded by a 140 Degree Wide Angle Lens which our G1W-C features. This customization work means that there will be a slight delay. To reiterate: the black version with the upgraded camera will DEFINITELY arrive, and we'll ship out EVERY single order at the specially discounted price - but the delay is about one week. The specific date we were given is 31 July (Thursday), that's when the orders wiill just take a bit longer. Our warehouse had received an initial batch of 50 units of the updated GW1-C, these will be shipped out to customers based on the order date.

Good news #2:
Every customer, regardless of the G1W-C color choice, will receive DOUBLE GB Points for this order. Based on information received from the supplier, we had previously stated on our product page that G1W-C would be dispatched within 3-5 business days (on July 26[Beijing time]). Unfortunately, we later learned that the factory is unable to fulfill our specific custom order requirements. We updated the dispatch date to 7-10 business days to reflect this.
This will affect the buyers who placed orders before July 26[Beijing time]. We are extremely sorry that the factory were unable to fulfil their commitment to us. We extend our apologies to those particular members of the Slickdeals community, we fully understand and appreciate that the situation is not ideal.
We realize that some of those SD members may wish to cancel their orders. We're very sorry for the situation which is outside our control. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact our Customer Support directly. Once again, we're reaching out to the community to apologize.
For those SD members of the original buying group (who ordered prior to July 26[Beijing time]) who are willing to wait for their G1W-C car DVR units, we will provide a $3 gift card completely free of charge. For missing our dispatch date promise, it's the very least we can do.
For the SD members who ordered after July 26[Beijing time], we should be able to dispatch the orders within the updated dispatch time.
To clarify, we expect to dispatch around 150 black units in the next few days, and receive approximately 700 black units from the factory by the end of next week. This along with our current stock of 200 metallic blue units is more than enough to cover every existing order as well as all future orders for some time. Gearbest can guarantee the quality of every metallic blue unit as they are manufactured by the same factory; they supplied the blue units exclusively to us due to the initial shortage of black cases.

After over a month shipping I just received cam and it has obviously been USED so I suggest other buyers to check their purchases.
Mine came with scratches on plastic around the lens, the plastic on screen had been removed with obvious finger print and bubbles and most importantly the lens inside is on crooked.
Unhappy with GearBest and will not be making additional purchases through them.
