Maybe your disdain for providing others extra information is the reason you have almost no reputation points here after 5 years? Took a quick peek at your most recent posts, had to go to the bottom of the first page before I could even find a comment relevant to a product.

Ouch, burn. I'm going to go cry now that you wasted your time looking up my old posts to call me out. Boo. Hoo.

I bought a pair of gold toes here last time for the first time and was extremely dissapointed. They are either extremely over rated or I bought a bad batch.

Quick glancing from the small picture I thought that was just one big sock on one huge foot. And only 6 pairs for $10.40? Hmm.

Their dress socks are better than your average dress socks. But their athletic socks are not as good as they used to be.

I bought the same item from Amazon several years back (4-5?) and they were incredible. I bought them 2-3 years ago and they were blah. Frown

The old ones were awesome.

If you read the top review, the product quality is WAY down from before. I wanted some socks, but it looks like it won't be these.

OK mystery solved... the link in the Deal Editor post (2nd one in this thread) ... has the Amazon Affiliate tag in the URL...that why SD Deal Editor promote things on Amazon whether it's a deal or not, you buy it, SD get a share of your money for it....

I'm fine with SD earning money as long as it's a true good deal... but I hate it when they just promote things without research ... specially who member since 2005 and 2006... they should know better...

PS... I wonder does SD automatically tag all link to Amazon with it's Affiliate tag???
Seriously? You've been here all these years and this is news to you?

no.. the Affiliate tag is not new to me.. but promote whatever shxt found on Amazon by the deal editor here just to get a share of $$ is new to me... sorry I am so used to the old days where true deal get share or bad deal get thumbs down .... not a reputable deal editor promote bad deals....

5 stars?
i wonder if most people have bought gold toe stocks in the last couple of years.
This is not the same company. quality has really gone downhill.

I agree totally. I am currently wearing a pair I bought 8 or 9 years ago and they are still in decent shape. Similar versions of these socks are no longer made in America and are of thinner materials. I find that they wear out in the heel in what seems to be no time.

I've been trying to find something similar ever since I discovered this.

I like to wear socks made with acrylic - like the World's Softest Socks - found some Gold Toe socks at JC Penney's that were made with acrylic so I've been buying those - especially when they have the coupon $10 off $25! Macy's had a coupon recently so I went and bought some Gold Toe socks for my husband - he finally said he wanted to wear no show socks with his athletic shoes! That old dog can learn new tricks!

Bought 5 packs the last time this was FP and they're pretty mediocre, but better than the cheapo socks from Wal Mart. Te=hey feel nice, kind of thick, but they are already wearing out, and a couple of them fell apart after being washed once (the seam with the elastic was totally undone). Better socks out there for sure, but a this price hard to say.

Probably good idea not to get these expecting that legendary quality Gold Toe's reputation have given them.
