Bank of America Privacy Assist - FULL Refund for YEARS of Service

What's up guys. This is my first Slickdeal and I hope it's considered a Slickdeal; I really felt it was.

For those of you that have Bank of America's Privacy Assist credit monitoring service, be aware that they recently had a massive lawsuit against them that is forcing them to refund $700M+ to Privacy Assist customers. Note: If you have ever had any of their other "credit monitoring" services, you should be eligible for a refund as well.

I found this out last night when I decided to cancel the service (I was looking for ways to save $10/month here and there) and Google'd for their number.

Canceling was very easy and all I did was mention that I read about a recent lawsuit filed against them and asked if I was entitled to any refund. The kind lady informed me that I would be refunded for my full 74 months of service ($12.99/month, $961.26 total refund). It hasn't hit my account yet but I was in shock.

Just some info for SD members
There are many class suits that may you have missed out on if you did not know about them.
BOA has about 4.
Some I have been compensated for: Naked Juice, Kashi Cereal, TurboTax, Honeywell, Popchips, Traders Joe's, Emergen-C....
There are 100's of others going on.
I have got checks from these as well as many free products. (Like 16 bags of Alexia French Fries)
Some suit do not require any proof of purchase, some pay out better with proof.
I am signed up with a site (I have no affiliation, they have no referral program, just info for you guys)
IMO: Just found it to be the best and they seem to stay on top of every suit going on.
Sign up and get email updates of all current class suits.
You won't regret spending the time searching the site.
There is money in them dar classy suits!

Damn. Had privacy assist for like 4-5 years and cancelled like 3-4 months ago. This would be nice if they are actually refunding old fees.

Bank of America is a scam company. People love to give their money to scammers.

It's a wonder BOA is still in business. They have been fined so much during the last decade for defrauding the U.S. Government and it's citizens. Why anyone still uses them is a mystery to me. They should be Bernie Madoff's cell mates.

I did absolutely nothing and called no one and was recently sent a check by these people for over $800. I honestly didn't even know I had ever signed up for the service.

I never used this service, but remember getting spammed with ads for it everytime I logged into my account. Good find!

If you are able to obtain a walmart credit card and enroll in electronic statements you get free monthly fico scores.

Also, another option is again, if you're able to have a discover credit card, you get free fico scores on your monthly statements.

www.discover.com/FICO

hope this helps!

I looked it up and 2012 statements show CREDIT PROTECTION PLAN 800.942.1083 $12.56

Is this it? I chatted with online specialist they want me to call a special number but I have a feeling I will be getting a refund, i was able to see at least 4 months of charges before I stopped it in May 2012

EDITED: She is telling me right now that for the WHOLE YEAR of 2010, and 2011, I had the fee, plus 4 months into 2012 before I noticed it, thats around $280 bux, OP if you net me nearly 300 bux im gonna rep the shit out of you you amazing son of a bitch!

For so much, i dunno, I was wondering what about the interest that the card had that hit the Monthly fees, will that also be calculated into the money back?
