DEAD FOR EXISTING LASTPASS USERS

As an alternate, consider KeePass. It is free. The password database is kept locally (or in a cloud of your choice such as google drive) so you have no worries about LastPass closing or going offline - taking all your passwords with it - because you have 100% control over your data.
Note:Lastpass can store a local copy and export your password file for backup Not sure of the concern unless you turn off local copies and never backup.

Condoleezza Rice (former NSA adviser & 'founding member' of warrant-less wiretapping program) sits on the Board of Directors of Dropbox. Google has also been compromised... putting [Unencrypted] files on Cloud Storage isn't something that's advisable if you're concerned with privacy... lastpass only saves encrypted blobs on their servers, you hold the key to your passwords.

Additional 6 Months. - thanks pennywaltz Expired

It says it's for new and existing users. Not sure if that applies to those already paying for premium or not. I still have one month left in my free premium trial. Let us know if it works to extend your paid subscription.

Edit: It does seem to take a very long time to process. Just check your emails since I ended up getting 2 orders. Think their website is being updated so it's very slow right now.

Update: My free Lastpass Premium was extended until November 2015! Thanks OP!

"The primary difference between them is that 1Password stores your passwords on your devices, while LastPass stores them online. LastPass encrypts data before it leaves your devices, including your master password. If you're still concerned about security, LastPass offers optional two-factor authentication. This demands a secondary security code when you try to log in from a new device for the first time.

LastPass' cloud-based design makes it more versatile than 1Password. Both services support Mac, Windows, iOS and Android, but LastPass also adds Linux, BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7 and Microsoft Surface RT.

Cross-platform users will be frustrated that 1Password expects you to pay separately for Windows, Mac and iOS access, though the basic Android app is free at this point. Your Mac and iOS 1Password databases can sync via iTunes or Wi-Fi, otherwise you are reliant on iCloud or Dropbox. LastPass doesn't need to sync data between devices, just to the cloud, but you need a premium subscription to use most of the LastPass mobile apps."

Just use "1234567" for any financial institution and "abcdefghijkl" for anything else

For rakuten doesn't mater since you'll get your account compromised no matter what.

Thanks. I'm gonna research this a bit more but I was able to get the email from them. I'm wondering how easy it will be to transfer over all my passwords(700+)? Might be a pain to switch but it's definitely a great deal.

It's very safe. If you want, you can use one of those temporary email addresses. The order confirmation basically includes a link with an associated code that you click to take you to the Lastpass site. If you already have an account, it associates this code with your account and extends your subscription.

Found this quickly. Hope it helps.

If you already paid for the 1Password app(s), then I think you should still try this out especially since it's free. However, I admit I have only used Lastpass and don't really have experience with other password managers.
