Tried to get the 6 months, but they would only give me the 5 month deal I got last time. So my total ended up being $28.11. On the bright side I was only on the phone about 5 minutes.

Just called in and got 6months/$24.99 plus tax/fees.

It definitely is a trigger for the person, that I said I'd received a card in the mail about it. So make sure you mention that.

I called today to jump through the hoops to get my subscription renewed. After waiting out the rep and getting her down to $25 for 6 months, which is where I was hoping to get to, I suddenly changed my mind and went through with the cancellation. The rep could not have been any more polite, but I just pulled the plug and said "no" where I normally say "yes". Not my intention when I started, and not what I was expecting in the end. Oh well...

Spend the $25 bucks you saved on something nice. Smilie

Indeed, same here.

I use online streaming and App almost exclusively. I use this deal because it's cheaper to have a "radio" and add internet streaming, than just do internet streaming. My radio has been in a drawer for going on 6 months now...

I have a new leased car with the free 3 months. Now I am reading on another thread that they bill you if you do not call to cancel, even though I never requested anything. I want to continue with Howard (the only reason I listen and only in the car), but now am wondering if I will get a collection agency calling me if I do nothing.

They also sell your personal info to other places so you will get calls from people trying to sell you insurance and extended warranties

I didn't get billed after my three month trial when I bought my car. I let it lapse, as I had left the country two days after buying my car, and my wife said they called a couple times asking for us to renew. I got back about 3 months after the trial ended and called in to get a 5/$25 deal. At no time before I called them did they have my card info.

I want to say I even called them and asked about it, because I had read that as soon as they have your info they will auto-bill you (and not delete your card info once they have it) and their response was that the trial does not auto-renew.

EDIT: Hmmmmm... I was getting a TON of calls and letters about extended warranties and was wondering what I bad move I had made that led to that. Those posts above might explain that. Got pretty annoying there for a while:
"Sir, our records reflect that you do not have an extended warranty on your 2014 Chevrolet Impala. We are calling to-" *cut them off*
"Yeah, I actually do have an extended warranty."
"Oh, well ummm, uh... thanks for your time!" *click*

My 5mo/$20 deal is set to expire in 3 days. Called in and got offered about 4 different plans ranging from 5mo/$24.99 to a 12mo/$TooMuch plan. Each time I said no, she said she would talk to a supervisor. Finally after the final no for the 5mo/$24.99, she said she will process the cancellation and put me on hold. After she came back, she said they would do a one time courtesy extension of the 5mo/$20 deal and that absolutely they would not do it again next year. I said yes to a bunch of renewal term mumbo jumbo and ended the call. Keep holding out and you will get the 5mo deal.

Interesting, I was worried that I was going to get a bunch of calls after reading this, but I bought a used 2008 so maybe my car is too old for them to offer me an extended warranty or my Ooma is actually working and blocking telemarketers. Sometimes I think it doesn't work because I still get a bunch of robocallers.
