I bought this plasma at Costco.com this morning. Total cost was $811 with tax and shipping. The 90 day return policy plus the 2 year warranty from Costco makes this a great buy. I also used my Discover Card that gives me 90 Day Price Protection.

I'm not worried about a pentile display from a viewing distance of 10-12 feet. Non-factor in my opinion.

Pentile shouldn't be a problem for 90% of people at 8FT+ away.

That is unfortunate that the reviewer received a defective plasma, but Costco has legendary customer service with the 90 day return policy. The Samsung plasma wasn't listed on the website because this isn't a model they keep in their inventory. This deal is just good while supplies last.

The LG being better is subjective.

Just at frys looking at the LG6900 for 677.00. Next to the Samsung's the picture looked dull and not vivid at all. The guy tried to mess with the settings but I left without it. Going to check out this Samsung. Not a smart TV though....

that's the point. the LG is more lifelike. if you like things to be bright and cartoony plasma in general is not for you
