Thread Details

A good deal for a free Audiobook - especially if you already have an Audible account. You have to have/setup a Goodreads and an Audible account so it's not a one step process.

1. Go to this page on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/show/2668
2. Click want to read and signup for Goodreads (unless you are already signed up). Goodreads is owned by Amazon. (I recommend using an email address that you can control/monitor for upcoming marketing emails from Goodreads)
3. Click Join Group - A Goodreads discussion group sponsored by Ford (why Ford - I have no idea)
4. A day later (I did not post this offer until I confirmed receipt and actually started listening to the book) you will get an email with a code to download the book "Everything I Never Told You [amazon.com]" by Celeste Ng which has 4.1 stars based on customer ratings on Amazon based on 286 reviews.
5. The code can be redeemed on Audible. I used an existing Audible account. If you don't have an account I assume that you will have to setup an audible account.

I got the email, but when I click the link it says "Sorry, you might have overlooked something. Please check the promotion details. If you think weve made a mistake, contact Customer Care at 1-888-283-5051."

Live Chat told me this was for new members only. It doesn't say that in the terms: https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/2668/legal

No where does it say that either.

Now I'm on the phone with Customer Care and he said the only Goodreads promotion he sees expired on Oct 15 which makes no sense since the YouTube video in the offer was posted Oct 20.
Anyway he did give me a free credit to order anything I want which is nice.
I think there's something wrong with my account where it can't accept promo codes since I always get an error with Audible promo code deals. Sadly the rep couldn't find anything wrong with my account.

Weird. If I make a new Audible account I can redeem the free audiobook just fine.

I didn't get an email either. The OP needs to amend to the title to YMMV and indicate the offer pertains to new Goodreads members.

As an old Goodreads member I was still able to get the email.

I don't disagree that it's YMMV, but you said "indicate the offer pertains to new Goodreads members." which is false.
