Editor's Notes & Price Research
The router may not be available in all stores (online availability checker is not reliable). According to 100's of our forum members, on shelves it will show as $199.99 but will ring up $89.97 register. -iconian
The item is marked $199.97 but rings at $89.97
Picked up in Sterling, VA
Hope this helps someone and its not a repost.

Rest in peace half-priced router deal. It's been real.
Congrats to all those who got this amazing device!
Couldn't get the deal to work on the regular Wal-Mart website but found a work around to pick this up in store using the mobile site.
1. Go to http://mobile.walmart.
2. Search for "Netgear Nighthawk AC1900"
3. Find the correct router. It is NOT the Netgear N7000 that is the first listing. It should be a few down and show sold out.
4. Check for local store inventory and add to cart for store pick up.
5. Check out in the mobile app.
Avoid the crazy Wal-Mart black friday crowd.
I know this is probably tough... But I'm going to try it anyways. Target has a Cartwheel coupon for 25% off Netgear network products that expires today, 11/29. PM to Walmart first and then stack the Cartwheel for $66.75, a super slickdeal on an awesome router! Would be very YMMV!

I'm late to the party but I feel like sharing always for the Nighthawk lol:
With DD-WRT on the Nighthawk, this things amazing and the best router out there now.
Better antennas for the two 2.4 antenna for 30 bucks (The center antenna is 5ghz and switching it doesn't make a difference so you just need 2). MUCH better than the stock antennas.
9 dBi 2.4GHz Rubber Duck Antenna RP-SMA
Because I've learned over the years to NOT go cheap with stuff like antenna. The antenna I went with are great for the price. The cheap Amazon ones are cheap for a reason.
The Nighthawk's only downside is it's size, it's around that of an iPad lol. But this beast can also be OC'd, so expect this to raise your router expectations in the future.
Here's a link to Kongs firmware for this: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt-ren/K3-AC-Arm/
And the settings topic:
If you ask me DD-WRT is a MUST since it's constantly updated, the community is super helpful and most important it gives the option to add a built in adblocker in Privoxy to every PC on the network. This way there's no need to set up a custom hosts file on each device.

Netgear will NOT support/honor warranty items that are not purchased from an authorized dealer....or if the item is refurbished. Sorry to those greedy SDers who cleared the shelve wanting to flip these and make some profit!
^While that is a good point, many of us will be using aftermarket firmware, which already voids the warranty.
^While that is a good point, this is easy to revert back to netgear firmware before sending back to netgear. I am speaking on firmware related only.
^While that is a good point, why would resellers care? Once it's gone, they don't have to worry about warranties.

If you have a 2.4ghz heavy collection of mobile devices, you might be better off purchasing the TP-Link C7 for $60 from newegg - also currently Front Page.
PC mag had the comparison
TP-Link C7 at 2.4ghz
TP-Link C7 at 5ghz
Nighthawk 1900 at 2.4ghz
Nighthawk at 2.4ghz speeds
Nighthawk at 5ghz speeds.
While the TP-Link C7 outperforms the Nighthawk at 2.4ghz by a significant margin, the Nighthawk outperforms the C7 at 5ghz by a even bigger margin --- so it depends on what you need/use. The way I figured - all my gear is 2.4ghz now, and trying to future proof now is sort of silly, when I can just buy again in 3 or 4 years when I have the 5ghz stuff and get a better router at that point for the same money. So I decided to buy the TP-Link C7 for $60. Also USB2 vs. USB3 is pretty much immaterial on these devices because the throughput to a external storage drive is about the same -- ???possibly CPU limitations on these routers??? Not detracting from the Nighthawk, if you have newer devices on the 5ghz band it is significantly better - - - just providing more info in the spirit of slickdeals!
