This ordeal is like a fire tempering a sword. It's making chewy even tougher. If he got leprosy and his arm fell off, he'd beat the shit out of a bear, dip his stump in lemon juice and sew it back on with his good hand.

VF was late this morning because he didn't sleep much last night because the minimal amounts of hydrocodone he was taking earlier this week (half a 5mg caplet every eight to 12 hours) seriously farked up his sleep schedule. Annoyed As earlier noted, 9 am traffic is overstocked with dumb farks, so VF didn't get to his desk until 9:10, about an hour later than usual. Got a LOT of stuff done today, because it was the first day all week I've felt practically human. Still had to leave early today because of the Thursday night Carolina puddytats game against the Tampa Bay Bucs. They use our parking garage for game parking and the earlier we get out, the easier it is.

The most notable thing today was a young 20s co-worker who went with us to Brooks' Sandwich House for burgers. Last week after enjoying a double cheeseburger, he remarked he could probably eat two triples. Now, a Brooks single is a bounteous burger in its own right. A double is pretty much the sweet spot of the best thing you can order. A triple is one of those things you might enjoy once or twice a year. This dude consumed his first triple ridiculously fast. He thought it over, we advised him to get a single or double if he was still hungry and not over do it, but he said he enjoyed the first one so much, he wanted to do it again. Crazy He took a little longer to finish off the second one, but had no difficulty in doing so. His name is now legend among our co-workers. nod

Brooks wasn't the least bit busy today, due to high temps and air quality alerts today. We were bringing back burgers for a couple of other co-workers, and asked the Brooks twins about getting a fried egg on their burgers, since they weren't slammed. No problem, they said. One of them had requested it, the other has wanted it since his first visit months ago. He couldn't go today due to a very serious Production issue that began late Wednesday afternoon and was continuing this afternoon. So I surprised him with it, and he was seriously ecstatic when he unwrapped his burger. The biggest problem is, he won't be able to get it at lunch time very often, as they're usually too busy.

Wow, even at my fattest, a one pound burger and fries was my limit.

A triple is my limit, and as I mentioned, once a year is about it. Even then, I've either gotta be ridiculously starving, or unbelievably pissed off.
