The Colt M4 Carbine is a spot on .22 LR replica of the current carbine version of the M-16 machine gun issued to U.S. military. It features a carbine length barrel, collapsible stock and removable carry handle. As with the original, the upper and lower receiver is made of high quality aluminum. The Colt M4 Carbine Semi-Automatic Rifle in .22 L.R. is manufactured exclusively by Walther under license from Colt. It is the only genuine Colt tactical rimfire replica available in the world.

My first post, please be kind if I made an error..Smilie

good price these often are at $299 but before anyone goes out and buys one I've heard a lot of mixed reviews especially about the internals.. I'd do some research before buying.. even for 250$

about $175 cheaper than budsgunshop which generally find pretty cheap. Wish I was in the market since I have plenty of .22lr sitting around, but their isn't much it can do that my 10/22 can't.

If you're in the mood for "tacticool," I'd suggest buying a kit for your 10/22 over this thing. [centerfiresystems.com]

How does this compare to the Smith & Wesson M&P15-22?

Grand Prix guns in Littleton isn't cheap ($40-$45) but they're pretty easy. They handle everything via email, which makes it nice on the customer's end.

I'm holding out for the M&P 15-22 which gets better reviews across the board.

I've heard mixed reviews on this, but rave reviews on the HK MP5 also made by Walther. I have that one and that is always in my range bag - so fun to shoot. And most importantly, it isn't finicky on ammo at all, which is a plus for .22lr these days.

Why do people say the reviews are mixed? The reviews on Cabela's are fairly good: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Co...710003.uts

Or am I looking at the wrong item?

Pretty cool kit for $119, if I had a 10/22 I would consider getting it. But just for double the price with this deal, you get whole complete gun. So, you could shoot 2 different guns and have multiple people shoot at the range or whatever at the same time.

Check out the sig 552 - I compared the colt and some other ar15 22 (not SW) and the sig feels much better constructed and Imo is better looking.

Here's a link to Bud's websites FFL finder. You put in your zip and it'll give you a list of their preferred ffls and what their last known fee was. I've used it to find one in my local area and the price was still the same as what they had listed. Hope this helps.
