Please post a better price for a 34" curved computer monitor with the same resolution. This is a IPS panel btw. Forgot to add that it was released to US buyers 1/8/15.

Good find OP. Cool

This is a great price for a monitor of this size. Its a 34" CURVED 3440x1440 IPS display.

I would bite, but it's still too rich for my blood.

I'm only aware of two other comparable monitors: (1) the LG 34UC97 which is also around $1100-$1300, and (2) the AOC U3477PQU which is not available for sale in USA but you can buy an imported one on Ebay for about $1200.

So if you are aware of a decent 21:9 ratio 34" curved monitor with 3440x1440 going for far less than this "terrible price" then by all means, post it!

The LG curved version is 1299 on amazon - you are comparing the flat version. You can pick up the dell CURVED version for $924 plus you will get a 10% e-gift card on top of that.

I find it entertaining responses without actual knowledge of prices. The cheapest you can get the LG 34UC97 curved display from a reputable seller now is via Costco @ $1,249 + tax [costco.com]. At this price, it's still $250-300 more than the Dell U3415W. Sure it's brand new and unproven but purchased through Dell and backed by their CS and 3 year warranty some of us are willing to take the plunge at $926 + tax.

Not sure anyone got what this meant. There are only 2 models available (LG/Dell) at moment. Did you compare this with 32" LED tv?

I understand that. I am surprised that people are actually willing to pay more money for a curved monitor as it warps the image and is obviously a trend to get people to buy something.

the 21:9 however isn't a trend and is hopefully here to stay for gaming and movies. That is why I suggested a lower cost LG, but if you really want your curves have at it.

I understand. Also comparing a 21:9 WQHD monitor vs a 32 inch TV is dumb.

Also if anyone is interested in gaming, they should take a look at this when it drops

Also, Samsung is releasing a curved 34 monitor as well.

I'm not sure why anyone would jump on a 34 inch monitor when the market is literally just emerging and the competition is heating up. These monitors will only have more options and inputs in the future, will be better future proof and will be cheaper due to competition in the very near future.

This Dell one also has VESA mounts vs the LG 34" curved monitor which does NOT have the VESA mounts (the non-curved LG one does have VESA mounts)

Heh. Seems like Dell never remembers to add exclusions for newly released monitors to their current set of coupons.

I'd love one of these, but after going UHD (Dell P2715Q) I just can't go back. I'm hoping that in a year or two, there will be screens of this ratio and size (or bigger) with 5120 X 2160 (WUHD?) resolution.
