You simply can not do better for $200 than this unless you are a diy'er.

This is the best sub you can buy for under 200 bones. Won't do much more than down to 26Hz, but if you want to get down to 20Hz you'll have to spend more than 2x the price.

That's a step down and a 10" sub. It can't hang.

hm, my HT is now front, center, left, surrounds all polk. two rears are old onkyos and my sub is an old onkyo

i think i should wait for a good deal on a polk sub rather than mixing and matching more or do subs not have to correlate at all?

also, does it matter what kind of cable i use for the sub? i have some old ass yellow rca cable being used for my sub, but my understanding is that it doesn't really matter for subs.

Your sub brand means nothing when integrating it in your home theater/sound system. That yellow RCA cable you have is fine. That's actually a video cable, so it's shielded and will work for a sub connection. I've used those in the past.

This is the real deal. You hesitate, you lose.
If you need a sub, and you can afford $200, but not twice as much, get this.
